Belle of the Neighborhood Ball

Michelle Obama glammed it up with a shimmering white bare-shoulder gown, custom-made for the First Lady by 26-year-old designer Jason Wu. The gown was embellished with floral appliqués and beading.

According to AP, Wu sewed the dress himself in December, and sent sketches to Obama, but he didn't know that Michelle would wear the dress until he spotted her in it! "It's soft, feminine, but powerful," said Jason. "I wanted to convey all that in a dress -- I wanted it to look like a sign of hope."

Wu's design certainly got the attention of the new Commander-in-Chief, who asked the crowd at the ball before taking the dance floor, "First of all, how good-looking is my wife?"

Mrs. Obama's formal gown was a sharp contrast to the chartreuse dress she wore to the inauguration ceremony, which drew approval from style gurus. Click here to let "Extra" know what you thought of Michelle's daytime look!

Sorry, just have to disagree with people who drool about Michelle Obama. Don’t care for her dresses and style at all. People should reread “The Emperor Has No Clothes”. In this case, the empress.
Also, she’s attractive, but not beautiful. Something strange is going
on with her mouth. But I say good luck to them and God Bless America!

After the meeting, House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, questioned the size of the bill, now at $825 billion but expected to grow. “We expressed our concern about some of the spending that is being proposed in the House bill,” he said.” We’re borrowing this money from our kids.”

He said he doesn’t understand, for example, why the bill includes “hundreds of millions” of dollars for contraceptives. “How does that stimulate the economy?” he asked.

SOUNDS LIKE THINGS ARE HEADED DOWNHILL INSTEAD OF UPHILL. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT.

When I looked at the President and the First Lady, I got chills, I felt like I was looking at a Princess and her Prince Charming, I thought it was magical. I am sure they will always look at each other in that way.

The ball was very pretty but it took away from her shape & made her look flat chested

Didn’t like her outfits—-too fussy, didn’t do her figure justice (especially the white dress which flattened her chest). Rhinestone necklace with lime dress was serious overkill—-should have left it off—-never, ever wear that kind of bling during the day.

He looked fabulous.
