The Travolta Family: An Intimate Photo Album

Reps for John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have released a statement to "Extra" regarding the death of their son Jett, 16. The couple has also released intimate photographs of the tight-knit family prior to Jett's death, which can be seen in the gallery below.

The statement reads: "We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences.

Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolences from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future.

With love,
John, Kelly and Ella"

An autopsy for Jett will reportedly be held on Monday in the Bahamas, where the tragedy took place.

Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I am a huge fan of you and your lovely wife, Kelly. You’ve always seemed to be the perfect family unit and I’ve always admired that in both of you. In the last 10 years I have personally lost 14 loved ones which included my father, grandmother, uncle, 2 aunts, sister-in-law, 3 brothers, a nephew and others. But I have never suffered the lose of a child of my own. My heart and prayers go out to you and Kelly and Ella and all your other family and friends who are suffering along with you now.

Every time I read anything about this tragedy or see a picture I just start crying. John Travolta is the greatest person in the business and I feel so much pain for him and his family.

There are no words that can express my deep sorrow for what you and your families are going through. The love he had for you is clearly evident in the photos you have released. What a lucky boy to have had so much love, although for too short of a time. My prayers go out to all

~ ~ My husband & I also have a child w/a very rare syndrome. We are very blessed to have her in our lives everyday. When an individual is Blessed with a special needs child, we have a whole different appreciation for LIFE. May God watch over John, Kelly, Ella and their family in this sorrowful time.

I can’t not even imagine what you, kelly and ella are feeling right now. I know that I don’t know your family personally but I feel as if I do. Words can’t mend a broken heart. I can only say that my heart goes out to your family in this time of need.

I too have a daughter who has had a heart attack and seizures out of no where in 2000 and having to apply CPR for 14 minutes. I was blessed and she lived. However, it does not come without years and tousands of Grand/Petite Mal seizures along with strokes, she has an AVM on the left parietal lobe of the brain. We do not know how long her life will be. So we enjoy each day as if it was her last just as she does. Our hearts go out to you and your family. Keep your hearts full of love for Jett not for the ones who do not understand your beliefs. It is not theirs to judge. May you find your way through this difficult time not untattered but stronger as a family knowing you did all you could. But, it was time for Jett to become an angel, just as it will for you when your time comes. It just came too soon in our eyes for Jett. We might not understand why, and trying will only drive you to become sadder. Just know Jett will never be far from your thoughts and memories. And know he had the best parents possible along with the time of his life.
May Jett be your strength, may Ella and Kelly be your rock, may the words of comfort be your road to recovery during this truly hollow time in your life, and know time will heal the lost feeling and the pain will turn to memories of joy and the saddness will not be so present.
Thinking of your whole family,
From,
Norma and my family

TO MY GOD: HOW DO YOU KNOW GOD IS BLACK? HAVE YOU SEEN HIM FACE TO FACE. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK DOESN’T MEAN GOD IS BLACK AND ONLY FOR BLACK PEOPLE. GOD IS FOR ALL RACES, COLOR, CREED. HE IS EVERYONE’S GOD. COLOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

I heard Jeff Katerin did it so he and John could finally be alone without all the distractions of taking care of John’s autistic son. That is what being gay gets you.

Question: “Do we have an appointed time of death?”

Answer: The Bible tells us that “all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:16). So, yes, God knows exactly when, where, and how we will die. God knows absolutely everything about us (Psalm 139:1-6
