Hero Captain Sully: D.C. Dining!
Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, the hero pilot who safely landed US Airways Flight 1549, was invited along with his family to Obama's inaguration -- and took in some good eats while in the capital!

Sully and his family dined at the ironically named Hudson Restaurant & Lounge in D.C. The restaurant's owner Alan G. Popovsky, pictured with Sully and Hudson's Chef Ryan T. Arnold told "Extra" the captain and his clan "were a very polite, appreciative group...very nice people."
The pilot noshed on fried chicken, burgers, and pizza -- along with a complimentary dessert from the restaurant, as a "small token of appreciation for his amazing act."

There is so much discussion of the fact that it took a crew to get everyone off flight 1549 safely, and while that is true, had Capt. Sullenberger not landed the plane safely, rescue would have been a moot point. Co-pilot Skiles was heard to say to “Sully” in the raft, ” … You pulled it off.” Words of who landed the plane?
