Fanning to Get Fangs for 'New Moon'?

0122fanning.jpg

Will Hollywood's littlest leading lady, Dakota Fanning, be baring a set of fangs for the sequel to "Twilight"?

According to E! online, the 14-year-old starlet -- who has shared the screen with bigwigs like Tom Cruise and Robert De Niro -- is in talks to star as the vampire Jane in "New Moon." A source dished, "There were no auditions -- they just offered it to her outright, and now they're in negotiations. They've been going back and forth."

In Stephenie Meyer's hit book, Jane is one of the most powerful bloodsuckers in the vampire world -- and an enemy of the film's protagonists, Edward and Bella.

Chris Weitz is scheduled to begin filming "New Moon" in March -- with a tentative release date of November 2009.

she’s a realy good actress….she will be perfect for the role as jane in new moon. . .i’ve already read all of the books and i love it… hope that there will be no changing of actors in portraying the characters. . .

i think that Dakota will do wonderfully in the part of Jane and i really hope it works out. Jane is supposed to be youthful looking and kinda baby-faced and i think that a young, beautiful star like Dakota would be a perfect match.

nikki reed and peter facinelli are naturally dark haired. ashley green and taylor lautner wore wigs. robert pattinson got called a gargoyle when he got casted.
please let’s just trust the casting people.;) dakota is one of the most talented and versatile actresses in hollywood. she disappears into any role and become her character so convincingly. she will do an excellent job as jane!

If you have seen this young lady act, she is superb and extremely talented. I think she is perfect for the role and fits the description physically. Jane is small and petit with pale brown hair.
When Robert Pattinson was chosen for the role as Edward there was an uproar, as there always will be, but in the end he didnt do too bad job. I think the casting have hit the nail on the head with this one!

The second film will be better than the first, it can only get better.

I think that Dakota will be a perfect selection for jane, and i thought that Jane and Alec would be around 14.

BTW all u Dakota haters, she will be perfect because Jane acts all nice and innocent, but shes not so seriosuly get a clue.

I wonder who will play Alec….

I Love the books. I think she would do really well as Jane. As 4 the age…. I think that the make-up people could do wonders 2 make her perfect. She’s a great actress and has experience. But, in a way I think that the actress for Lane should be inexperienced. I would love 2 play the role of Jane. But, I think she would do a great job.

NOW WAY i hope NOT!!!

Way to old not sinister i have read all 4 book and i say i hope this is not offical

2 young and i for 1 reason hope she doesnot come anywhere near the character of JANE!!

She is to well know as well to play the role and u don’t want to take any of the attention of Robert and Kristan.

I foe 1 LOVE Twilight New Moon Eclipce and Breaking Dwan.

Please do it for us Dakota get out of here !!!!

Dakota is TOO BIG (well known) for this movie. It needs unknown actors or all the focus will be on her and not the story. She’s also too young. I am certain Stephenie Meyer did not have a child in mind when she wrote the character of Jane. People are saying that Jane and Alec should be like 10 years old? They were not babies in the books.

She has grown up a lot since the movie Charlottes Webb, she is a great actress and I think that she needs to have bigger roles to show everyone that she can be as good as we know she is.
I cant wate to see the new movie is is in now.
You go girl!

This is not confirmed, right? I don’t get what Summit is thinking!Well the character calls for someone childlike and androgynous. She has to also stay that way for her parts in the next films as well. Jane also has short dark hair so they need to fix that as well. I think she would work as long as they make her more like the character but they have to work on it!
