Dakota: 'New Moon' is 'Definitely a Possibility'

It still isn't confirmed Dakota Fanning will star in "New Moon" but the mini starlet says it isn't a rumor! The 14-year-old says, "It's not 100 percent yet set in stone but it's definitely not totally untrue or a rumor." While promoting her new film "Coraline" in L.A., People reports Dakota said, "It's definitely a possibility and I think it would be really, really fun to be a part of."

"Twilight" stars Rachelle LeFevre and Ashley Green hit the red carpet for the premiere of Fanning's flick "Push" on Thursday night and told "Extra" they wouldn't be able to confirm the news of Fanning starring in the new vampire flick.

Dakota is up for the role of Jane, a young, powerful vampire from the hit Stephenie Meyer books. If she is cast, the little leading lady will join original cast members Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner on the big screen.

i think she would make the perfect jane we all know this movie needs some really good actress and she is a great one for this part. she will probaly out do everybody so they better watch out!lol!

OMG!! I freaked out someone had told me she may be playing Bella, whoo. sorry, I think shed be ok as Jane. Im not partial to her but, I guess it could work.

I think she’ll be perfect for jane. I believe she can pull off the powerful child/teen thats described in the book.

I don’t think Dakota Fanning should be Jane. She’s a wonderful actress but that only goes so far. I thought of jane in her 20’s. I guess until its confirmed I’ll just pray Vanessa Hudgens never auditioned for Leah.

How can people say that they cannot think of Dakota Fanning as “evil”. Many people agreed that “Superman” could be Edward. Of course, many people also know that Stephenie Meyer wanted someone who could look slightly scary as a vampire for Edward and that’s why she didn’t chose him.

I would never want anyone to go crazy if Dakota gets the part. Everything will be just fine…….give Dakota a chance if she gets the part. Let’s see if she can deliver 1st, and if she can’t, critize her all you want. everyone deserves a chance including Dakota.

If Dakota gets the part and people go crazy, they can go straight to the looney ward. Very simple…and I think alot of fans are going to end up in the looney ward….maybe they deserved to be there to begin with. Actors get type cast into a certain role or locked into a certain role like Dakota, the good girl image, they have to expand their horizons and show their true talent by taking different roles in different movies. I think Dakota will do an excellent job if she gets the role.

I dont think that dakota should play the part of Jane. I mean everyone has an image of her as a “good girl” it would be horrible if viewers had to use their brains to remember she is evil. She just does not fit in as Jane. If she gets the part everyone will go crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dakota is also quite capable of molding herself into whatever part she plays. She will do really good. hey , the girl has talent and all producers in Hollywood know her work and know she is very dedicated to her work as an actress.
