"Dancing with the Stars" Season 7 champ Brooke Burke says she is happy about the engagement of her former competitors, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Burke confesses to People magazine, "You could see the chemistry. I'm really happy for them and I hope it works out."

Katrina and Maksim knew each other before they became professional dancers on the dance competition show. Brooke says, "Culturally they have a lot of similarities and a really passionate, steamy love affair going on."

"When those two danced together it was like fire," she said, "It was amazing."

Chmerkovskiy proposed to Smirnoff on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas. The couple are currently traveling for the "Dancing with the Stars: The Tour," which wraps February 8 in Philadelphia.
