Ashlee: Leave Jessica's Body Alone!

0128simpson.jpg

Rock mama Ashlee Simpson-Wentz hit the web to give her two cents about recent headlines concerning her sister Jessica's weight.

"I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight," Ashlee writes on her blog. "A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure."

Simpson-Wentz continued, blasting society's obsession with pin-thin frames. "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard...How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?"

At the end of her blog entry, Ashlee encouraged people to turn their attention to more pressing matters, writing, "Now can we focus on the things that really matter."

Jessica's former trainer, Harley Pasternak, defended Simpson's curves to "Extra," saying, "She has curves where a woman needs to have curves. We all go a little bit up and a little bit down. But she's healthy...I think if more people looked the way she looks now, the country would be a lot healthier."

Let "Extra" know what you think of Jessica's new look!

Unfortunately, the career Jessica choose allows people to slam her for just about anything. According the reports, she weighs 135, which is a lot healthier than her once weight of 100 lbs. She is a beautiful person and obviously very happy. Her potential weight gain is no ones business, she is still beautiful and no one has the right to be so harsh.

Looking thin a flat is not alway pretty. I wear jeans with a waist because I do not look good in low cut hip jeans. They should make for clothes for people to wear waist pants. Stop the skinny low ride pants. It does not look good on Everyone Just because its in style does not mean you Have to wear it.

ashley, jessica is over weight and what does the election have to do with jessica being over weight? the media can take up for jessica but she is in her 20s and hasn’t even had children yet. unlike most of us jessica can afford someone to cook the right foods for her, a stylist and have a trainer. people are being people they would do the same if it was someone they knew talking about their weight. jessica made the choice to have a public career. where were the talk show when britney was over weight not as much a jessica and she has had two children?

If the media wouldn’t make a big deal about her weight everybody else wouldn’t care so much.

I can’t believe you are going on & on
about Jessica Simpson’s weight. LEAVE
THE POOR WOMAN ALONE! I have never
seen you give this much press to a
male who gained weight.

I think she is a very pretty woman and remember real woman have curves. I think between the pants being high and the belt being bulky it made her look a little heavier but not obese.

I am not surprised anymore at what people think about and or say about especially female celebrities. I remember what people said about Britney when she made her “comeback . About how fat she was. And when I finally got to see her pics I thought “are you kidding me”? I thought see looked great! There are a lot of people out there who would LOVE to look that “fat”. Same goes for Jessica.People enjoy getting their shots in whenever they can. I am not a “fan” of either but I can say “WOW”” and good luck to both.
