Taylor should play Jacob- he already has the role nailed and I think if they switch actors “Team Jacob” may not go see New Moon! PLus, Micheal Copon is too old. Jacob’s character is suppoused to be younger than Bella and there is no way he is gonna look younger than her. As for size, anyone can look big compared to Kristen Stewart ;)

Taylor is Jacob. Summit Entertainment is being extremely insensitive to the fans. They need to stop being greedy and thinking about their fat pocket books and do the right thing and keep Taylor. Have you seen the petitions Summit? Start listening to Twilight fans.

That is a good idea to have Taylor play Seth Clearwater. Since Seth is younger and smaller Taylor could fit into that role. I looked up Steven Straight on Internet Movie Database and he would make a perfect Jacob and could give Edward some competition. However, with Robert Pattinson as Edward, there is NO competition. Edward is PERFECT!!

I can’t vote in this poll bec I want Steven Strait (lead actor in 10,000 B.C.) to play Jacob Black. This poll doesn’t even have Steven Strait listed. Steven is perfect as Jacob bec he has a semi-boyish/semi-mature face. Steven definitely has the height and physique to play a “grown up” Jacob. Remember, in the subsequent Twilight books, Jacob matures significantly bec of his supernatural abilities even though he’s younger than Bella. Steven is perfect for the role…he even has similar features as Taylor.

umm…Taylor is suppose to be younger [looking] in the booK. That is the whole point that he is younger than Bella but he is able to be come off as responsible and mature person. Taylor is a great actor and he needs his time to shine as well. He did very well in Twilight and I am hoping the keep him..and to not even change actors when he is suppose to be “older”.

Honestly, I don’t see why they both cannot play Jacob. Jacob is suppose to grow and change during the course of the book. Taylor could play him in the beginning of the flick and through some CGI start to change and then Michael take over.
I have to agree, that Taylor is a little too young to keep playing Jacob, who is suppose to have aged, physically, to 25 by the end of the book.
