Taylor and Stevens should both play Jacob. Taylo as the younger one and Steven when he transformed. They would spend money for special effects anyway to make taylor look bigger and taller, so why not do away with that special effects and cast them BOTH? The special effects might not look natural anyway and Jacob is taller and bigger through the rest of the story, that’s gonna be expensive.

I don’t know if everyone who has seen the movie has read the books. If so, you know that the character is introduced in Twilight as a babyfaced teenager, and is quickly matured in New Moon to 6’5”, mid-twenties, with a powerful build. He’s said to tower over Edward, and the kids at the HS aren’t comfortable with him when he comes around in Eclipse as he looks older and bigger than them. Why shouldn’t SM’s own description be followed?
There’s no point in Jacob if his character doesn’t age and look correctly, because his entire plot revolves around how he changes and his life changes. Taylor was just fine as a young, babyfaced Jacob, but I can’t see the point of trying to force him into the role of a 25-27 year old. An in shape 16 is still going to look 16, which is fine. It’s just not Jacob Black.

CLEARLY IT HAS TO BE TAYLOR! That just seems fairly obvious to me, besides the fact that he has a more narrow face than Copon’s round hair stubbled one; Jacob is basically described as a baby-faced 16 year old. And I’m sorry, but in what world does Copon look like a 16 year old??

Um, people, Michael Copon is not old. He’s mid twenties! That’s the age Jacob looks like after he changes and matures. He just looks like a young grown up man-which is correct for the character, who in the book matured to be older than the Cullens, except perhaps to be a peer of Esme who was frozen at 26. Stephenie Meyer was clear both that he looked mid twenties and that he was good looking, tall, and muscled. Search Michael Copon on IMDb, guys, and look at the pics. He’d be a good Jake I think.

That other guy looks toooooo! old like 50 or something jake is like 15 or 16 not 60! ew! and Taylor is perfect for the role anyway plus you can’t change a main actor!!!!!
