The sequel to "Twilight," called "New Moon," has recruited director Chris Weitz to replace Catherine Hardwicke -- now rumor has it that Taylor Lautner may be too young to play the older Jacob Black!
MTV News is reporting that Lautner's competition for the role includes actor Michael Copon.

Steven Strait! Steven Strait! He is most alike Jacob in the book. I agreed Taylor is too young to play Jacob, also Jacob is a tall guy said in the book! I’m not Steven fans (I’d never know him before since the flake trailer in Youtube). I just want to tell the true. If Steven plays Jacob, the movie would be more interesting.

Taylor plays Jacob PERFECTLY! Anyhow he is already in Twilight so it would be stupid to switch him. He ISN’T TOO YOUNG!!! he is perfect! Anyway, I can bet if you switch him, you will lose so many viewers! So many people love him!

I have already voted for Taylor. He’s the real Jacob. Although, I must admit that after seeing a photo of Michael, he could probably pull it off.

I think that Taylor should have never played Jacob! He does not and will never be Jacob according to how he is discribed in the book! I will not go see the second movie or any of the ones to come! Big dissapointment!! The producer and the writer are catering to the all TEEN fans and are forgeting that adults also read the books!

to be more objective in making the film more believable, it’s gonna be either michael copon or steven strait because they fit perfectly for the description of the matured jacob black in New Moon. Taylar Lautner is ok too but for Twilight were jacob was depicted as younger. it’s gonna be awkward to force the part to him.
