The estranged wife of United Technologies Corp. Chairman George David claims she deserves $53,000 -- a week!

Marie Douglas-David is a 36-year-old Swedish countess who has no job or assets. According the the New York Post, the Hartford Superior court ruled Marie will receive $978,000 until the legal teams are able to work out the terms of the divorce, which include a request for $53K a week. That's a lot of Swedish meatballs!

Perhaps if they’d both spent as much time working on their relationship as they do on “writing checks,” there’d be no need for the divorce in the first place.

That woman needs to come live with me
for awhile. We eat frog legs and rabbit stew or whatever I can hunt to eat.
I even have an outdoor bathroom equipped
with leaves. If you come move in with
me we might be able to get a sears
roebuck catalog for the outhouse.
Ps.) As you live this lifestyle for awhile you might be able to live on $400.00 a week..like most americans do.

Jesus christ… I’m ashamed that she is swedish… Also it seems as though all the money in the world and a countess title won’t buy you a sense of style… it looks like the clothes are wearing HER and not the other way around…
And what on earth is up with that empty freaky stare in every picture??

If she winds up getting more than the post-nup agreemenet (an OUTRAGEOUS amount anyway) I want to know the judges name - let’s post it everywhere.

People are raising families and living on that much year. Here’s a thought - trim down your extravagant lifestyle, get a job, do some REAL charity work (not just the kind that gets your pic in the society blogs.

SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE DEARIE..you do not need that exhorbitant amount(although they need to share half half what is due each) to be happy.

Forgiving one another will give you happiness so you can go on with your life.It’s your attitude you need to change to facilitate the road to freedom.
Your PRE-NUP AGREEMENT is not that bad take the money and run and or if the two of you can RECONCILE out of this big love for each other money or without money.Do you love your husband without money??Answer honestly for that is your road to happiness.

No one is disgusted at this???? Poor thing can’t live on 43 million meanwhile people are losing thier homes, jobs, pensions and life savings. Whoever you are - are you serious? Get a life……I highly doubt she will find sympathy anywhere especially not in this climate and quite frankly she is embarassing herself. Let’s see she married a rich old guy because I am SURE she LOVED him, quit her job and signed a prenup for 43 million. Sounds like she made her own bed and not such a bad bed either - she should just shut up and lie down. Ugh!

The twisted one is him

he spends $95K a week- a week - maintaining his yacht.

Meanwhile, he made her sign promissory notes for money she needed to match his lifestyle DURING their marriage.

But of course, everyone goes after her. He is squeezing her, she is in her thirties. What was his motive for coming into her life and screwing it all up?

Primissory notes? From you wife? His weekly spending dwarfs hers.

He spends over 20K a week on entertainment, travel and shipping costs and after whizzing into this yound woman’s life, getting her to quit her job, subjecting her to incredibly expensive promissory notes, he dumps her onto a par with his shipping and dining costs. And no one is digusted at this? Is this love? or did he just mess her up to have a trophy, like his boat. Except, he loves the boat more, apparently.
