Palin Daughter Pops

1230palin.jpg

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is officially a grandmother. Her daughter Bristol, 18 (pictured with baby brother Trig) and former high school hockey player Levi Johnston, also 18, welcomed son Tripp on Saturday.

Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston was born at 5:30 AM, weighing 7 lb., 7 oz. "We think it's wonderful," Colleen Jones, Bristol's great-aunt told People magazine. "The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited."

Levi's mother, Sherry Johnston, was recently arrested on multiple felony counts of involving the drug Oxycontin. Bristol is currently living in Wasilla, and working on her GED. Levi is now an apprentice electrician.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for Governor Palin said, "This office will not be issuing any statements on [Bristol's baby]. We're here to talk about state government and that matter falls outside of that."

For you that don’t get why “pop” is offensive or rude, let me clear it up for you. Have you ever seen a birth announcement by proud parents that their kid was “popped” ?

NINGO!! You are a jerk and your statement cold and unfeeling. I suppose you are the type who woulod be a social engeineer directing everyone how to live their lives. You don’t know Mrs. Johston’s story and she’s not one of the parents. I have known people who buy pain killers black market who leg. need them but their insurance or HMO won’t cover it. Dad and Mom have plenty of time and loving family help to restructure their lives. That baby will get lots of love and help. As American families go today they are not that atypical. Sarah Palin is NOT naive, she’s just not as jaded and hard as a lot such as HC. Were you adopted? Have you given one up? It can ruin lives, not save them. That childd will be fine. Nobody is perfect, no family is either.

“POP” Give me a break. This is typical of the media BS that we have had to deal with for a long time. I don’t care if you wanted Obama or McCain, POP is just down righ insulting to the human race! Were are YOUR ethics?

1st: The headline is horrible! I never thought much of reporters anyway. This joker that wrote this must have been a drop out.

2nd: Levi might have droped out of school. However he is working in the Oil fields up there making good money, and not riding the system like everyother drop out! Most of the leaders of this country never finished school years ago. They had a good work ethic and determination to make things happen. You can do anything you put your mind to, as long as you want it bad enough.

3rd: This is Bristol’s day to celebrate the birth of there child. Why throw in the mix that Levi’s mom was busted for drugs! Who cares!

I can really understand why they call them “Extra Staff” because they just copy & pasted this article quick to justify there position, so they could go back to Screwing-OFF. People if we want this country to change we need POSITIVE information in the news and get rid of all the NEGATIVE and have RESPECT for other people. Especially people that lead our Great Nation, even if we don’t care for that individual.

Pop word denotes very bad taste and mediocrity as a writer. Times are hard but extratv.warnerbros can make a buck with better staff.

I agree the title is horrible, degrading and tacky. what is wrong with some of you people that makes you so cruel and hateful. children are a gift of god and should always be treated that way. there are so many young women who have abortions, it should be noted that this is not an accepted manner for birth control. many young girls and older women are having babies before marriage. that is not right but has been with us forever. the age of the mother, i was barely 19 when my first son was born. he was cherished as his memory is today.
what about the name……..have you heard some of names the so called “stars” are naming their children. so what. i have a ged, i finished nursing school (RN)and was director of nurses at a large facility when i retired. leave these people alone, i doubt they care what your thoughts are anyway. mott

I’m glad you can make judgements about the people in this fmaily based on what the media has shown you. Way to go. You get a gold star. NOT. You don’t know anything about them so who are you to judge??

Paul,

You are being extremely judgemental and you know nothing about me or the people I hang out with. You still have not answered my question.

Would someone please answer the question, objectively, instead of trying to tell me the people I hang out with are ‘disgusting people’.

Paul - BTW - I hang out with people who come from a range of educations/incomes - highschool, under grad, grad, doctorate. Rich, middle-class, and poor. Religious and non-religious. My girlfriend is a libritarian and her family is staunch republican (her grandmom always asks “So how is the democrat doing). So your argument is nothing but a troll statement.

>>Disgusting. Just cause you’ve heard it a lot doesn’t make it not disgusting. It just means that you hang around with disgusting people. Like the disgusting idiot who wrote this headline.

You people wonder why we call you the drive-by media. Tell me, did Michelle Obama give birth to her children, or did she “pop”?

I agree with Jay. The word pops is totally
disrespectful and I doubt the word would be used with someone else.

Bringing a human life into the world is not a trivial event I’m sure the author can think of a better headline .
The one that he chose is just “tacky” and dose not fit the magnatude of the event.

If the headline was supposed to get people to read the article, then I wonder how many would have read it if it had said “Baby Palin has Baby Tripp”. You say the headline did what it was designed to do but alas we’ll never know which headline would have attracted more attention since you chose to “pop” rudeness out of your pen. A writer should not make a comment like that without some statistical backup.

All you self-righteous pro-lifers:

If you really cared about the sanctity of life, maybe you would see a problem with Bristol’s unplanned pregnancy and other risky behavior, as well.

Life is hard enough without having to start life with a teen mom, a felon grandma, a drop-out dad, and a naive grandma (Sarah).

I would love it if people were half as concerned about the child as they are with the adults in this family. I agree with a previous poster—the best thing that could happen is for the baby to be given in adoption.

That was very very bad journalism. That person may be someone you may dislike but please show some respect to the person. To use that kind of wording in the title shows your only intent is to insult that person and get some mileage out of it.

Choosing not to have an abortion is not necessarily “the right thing.”
