I think Taylor Lautner should stay as Jacob. A lot of fans will be disappointed if he is replaced including myself. With the makeup artists today they can definately make him look older and bigger. For the person that said to change Jasper and Edward… That would be a bigggg mistake. Changing Edward would cause a lot of fans to boycott the movie in my opinion. As far as Jasper goes i think the actor played the role perfectly. He did a great job. …… Taylor should def keep his role.

Taylor Lautner IS THE PERFECT Jacob Black, nobody can replace him!! With technology, wardrobe and make-up they can make himself taller, bulkier and a bit more older. DON’T REPLACE TAYLOR!!

Im torn on one hand taylor was the jacob in twilight..but how will they make him so huge in the sequal? I want them to keep him but I also don’t see how it will look if they do….im undecided

Don’t change any cast because we have love this movie because of them.you can add if you want but not to replace.the movie had build up their fans and we will be dissappointed if there’s a cast changes.pls dnt change.we love every person in the movie ;)

I think Ben would make a great Aro - or at least another prominant Volturi. I think Stanislav Ianevski would be perfect for Demetri as well.

As for Jacob Black. I think in Twilight, Jacob played by Taylor was appropriate given that he was playing a 15 year old and not yet a shape shifter. However his first appearance in New Moon, he takes Bella by surprise on how different he looks and only grows from there. By the end of the saga, (which in the story is a span of only 1 year) he is written to be able to pull off looking 27 years old. So..to go from looking 17+ to 27 in a year… they’ll need to aim alot more mature looking.
Recasting in New Moon might be Summits & the franchises only opening to replace the character into someone who can play the 7 foot beast. I’ve seen pics of Steven Strait and I think he’d be a perfect replacement and fit to the Jacob Black character. Not to keen on Michael Copon though. I highly doubt anyone who says they’d boycott the film if they replace Taylor really will. As the old saying goes…curiousity killed the cat. ;) And satisfaction will bring them back. HAHA..cheesy..what can I say?!

Yes Ben is a perfect aro! and of course he looks young hes supposed to. the book just mentions hes “ancient” because hes one of the longest living vampires. but he doesnt literally look ancient! & Keep Taylor!

I love Taylor’s portrayal of Jacob! He did so good, and his personality really fits in with the Jacob in the book. As long as they can make alterations on the video editing (I’m in video production, it is possible) then they should definately keep Taylor!! The other guy is more bulkier like Jacob’s change would be, but are his acting skills up to par? If you look at the pictures though, in comparison, Taylor should be in the beginning, and then have the other guy come into the movie as the transformation. That would save a lot of trouble, and it would show a major change!! Just a suggestion, but hey, it’s whatever. I love the books, and if they change him, I’ll still watch the movies. Hopefully with the new director, there will be better scene changes and B&E interactions.

I think the Twilight series should keep TAYLOR as Jacob Black.Honestly this is the character that was casted best in my opinion and made me smile the biggest.No it’s not because of his looks but the way he portrayed the character.Please don’t change the cast it’s perfect the way it is.

I know that sometimes there are conflicts with Cast.

I am still mad that Jody Foster did not play Clarice Starling in Hannibal.

I just loved Taylor as Jacob, and I had envisioned Jacob looking so much like Jacob, that when I saw him in the movie, I was truly surprised at how close I had imagined him. Unfortunately (and it kills me to say this) I don’t think Taylor physically represents the next iteration of Jacob who appears after weeks of isolation from Bella following his transformation.

What I wouldn’t give for Taylor to continue on, but physically and from a range perspective, I just don’t think he can conquer this changing role.

The other unfortunate is that I cannot think of any actor who has the physical look of Jacob who has the acting ability to carry this movie. The actor who takes this role must command it, and none of those on the short list to take on the role can do it, in my opinion.

I think its stupid to change people who play main characters!!!! Jacob is supposed to look young anyway he is 16 in all the other books!!!!!

Nothing is more frustrating than when the producers/directors start replacing the actors/actresses in a series. People want the cohesive element in these stories, and when you begin replacing major players in the game, it lacks consistency! Look at the Batman movies. Most people would not deem that a series due to all of the different actors that played Bruce Wayne. Every film is kind of it’s own entity. Keep Lautner, and keep the fans happy!
