it is wrong, and unfair, to replace an actor in a series.

if taylor is replaced for being wrong for the part, then most of the cast would have to go too.

For example,
Ashley Greene is NOT 4’10”
and
Robert Pattinson is NOT 17-nor does he look it.

Lets just say, summit will be upsetting a LOT of people by changing actors.
It will completely ruin the feel of the movie.

Taylor makes a very very good jacob. so if the new director changes him for someone new i will through a fit. even my aunt says that they should not change him. he is not to young to play jacob.

Taylor lautner should play jacob. Michael Copon is too much like a Sam. Taylor lautner did a perfect job in twilight and has a lot of fans. Michael Copon will lose many fans. Taylor lautner has to play jacob in New Moon or else not a lot of people will watch New Moon. I won’t. And many others won’t either.

Oh, and the character is still the same age in the book!! He just grows and looks big.

Taylor should still be Jacob. There is no perfect real person to play such a changing character throughout the book, anyway. He brings the gorgeous look, minus the Hollywood glam, that brought so many women to see Twilight. Twilight was great because it was really about the story and the emotion, and there were many unknown actors that piqued curiosity and fame for them. Keeping the original characters might allow them to slightly change the script(how they want to incorporate Robert more), because if they change too much, Twilighters will be furious. I know that trying to make it so big, just because of the fame and attention that Twilight got, will turn people off totally. Myself included. Changing too much will just be suicide for the whole Twilight empire they can build off of the four books.

I like the idea of Taylor playing the role until the change and then Michael taking over. THat way it would look drastic. That sounds great.

Ithink Taylor should continue to play Jacob because he was in the first Twilight movie and if they replace him now I dont think the movie will survive.

taylor is a good actor, but he cant act in new moon, in the book he suppose to turn into a wolf and that means he must be huge. taylor isnt that huge. but on the other side movies arnt the same as books. TAYLOR YOU MUST ACT IN NEW MOON!! its will be so boring! there has to be a hot guy in the movie! except edward.

It should come down to michael and steven strait. Both would be perfect for the new jacob. If they wanted to have taylor do everything up to the part where he gets sick (read the book if you havent) and then switch to either of they guys when bella sees jake again. It’s worked in other movies with two actors playing the same role for different time periods why not do it for new moon?

most of you probably haven’t even read the books. you probably only watched the movie because you thought Taylor was cute.
Jacob Blacks character undergoes a drastic change so why not change Taylor. He’s not even really native american anyway and also not that great of an actor. How can you say a did such a great job when you hardly seen him. New Moon is a darker more serious Jacob, i bet Taylor wouldn’t be able to wipe that stupid smirk off of his face long enough to really get into his character. Besides he was in like 2 scenes in twilight so it’s not a major loss.

When I first heard the rumor of Taylor being replaced for NM I thought,”No way! It can’t happen-he’s perfect for the role!” I found out Copon was up to replace him so I looked him up and realized he DOES make a better Jacob Black. Facts: He’s over 6ft & abt.200lbs. He descriptively looks like the NM Jacob. Here’s the big one-He’s able to work the longer hours vs. Taylor who’s still under 18. All sentimentality aside, I love Taylor but I’ve also seen Michaels work and he’s going to make a better Jacob Black. Some people didn’t like Robert cast as Edward. He didn’t let down!!!

I do not understand what everyone is not trying to see, it is so obvious, that Michael Copon and Taylor, look so much alike, they could be brothers.I believe Taylor should keep the part, they can do digital things to beef him up and make him older, but if not, quit with the Steven Strait stuff, although he is cute, he does not look like Taylor are Jacob Black for that matter.

i think just let all the twilight cast take the role they were really good in the first one.SO GOOD LUCK:)
