McGraw in 2010?!

1211mcgraw.jpg

Is Tim McGraw talking about starting a career in politics?

It's true! The country star has tried his hand in film and writing children's books -- now Tim is ready to run for office! The New Republic magazine is reporting Tim McGraw is serious about making a run for the Tennessee governor's office in 2010.

Of course, this is not a first for the entertainment industry -- Ronald Reagan was a Hollywood actor before he became Calif. Guv and later President. Other celebs who left showbiz for politics include former pro wrestler Jesse Ventura and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The multi-platinum-selling McGraw has over 10 albums under his belt, but no political experience. Tennessee Democrats are desperate for a high-profile candidate to take on to take on Bill Frist as the successor to Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen.

I wouldn’t vote for him, as it seems both he and faith have forgotten where they came from and who they are. they say they haven’t, and true they helped when the hurricane hit but…look how they both act and even dress now. true i know the more money ppl make the better they dress and blah,blah..but come on look at other celebs, country stars..i don’t see them acting the way tim and faith do. and honestly…what does the public really know about tim? he’s a country music singer, he’s played in a few films, wrote a few childrens books…made millions off of ppl. yet..he or faith neither one make their tickets affordable for ppl that aren’t loaded with money and i’ve yet to see them come to small towns for an afforadable price. what’s up with charity and stuff too like that? if they are donating then why not make it known for things such as this? he’s wanting to run for an office seat yet not to much is known about his political ways. isn’t this whats got us where we are now? bringing someone in that we don’t know much about, only going on ‘who they are’ or ‘what they’ve done in the entertainment world’? i just don’t think he needs to go there
