Lautner is the best Jacob for filming New Moon and the following films about Twilight. He is a good actor that he know how Jacob is. I want Lautner like Jacob. It is imposible to change.

This is not happening. I am starting a petition to keep taylor. If they remove him I am going to start a boycotting team. They need to care about what the fan wants. They forget that if it wasn’t for our money the film wouldn’t be so successful. Imagine changing harry potter in the second film do you think it would be so successful?

Taylor has the right look and feel for Jacob - loved the posturing at the end of Twilight! Being a Twiligh Junkie my daughter and I have been hooked on the books and movie for the past year! Chris Weitz needs to be sure that key elements of the stories are maintained - such as Bella being the caregiver - with her mother and then father - cooking every dinner! Key to her personality!!

The studio will need to “size” Taylor up for the future of the series, and on a 50 million budget - with going to Italy and already needing to contend with humans morphing into wolves - I can’t see them spending MORE $$$$ to CGI Taylor into someone he’s not. He needs to look 27 in the end…it’s not just about height…it’s bulk and facial maturity. In changing THAT much of a character…why not just recast…. like.. into Steven Strait. I think he’d have chemistry with Bella like no one’s business.

I read that Stephenie Meyer originally saw Steven Strait as Jacob but because they only could guarantee ‘Twilight’ was being made…they went with a younger guy.(Taylor) Films recast all the time…they have to do what works best for the film. I hope they do what’ll be believable in the end. Whatever they decide….I’ll be there to see it. I’m in it for the story. Sorry. :)
