If they do not go with Taylor then they are absolutely insane. The hearts of the majority of devoted Twilight fans would be crushed. I have not seen anyone who looks closer to the Jacob that I visualized while reading the books. I was very satisfied with his performance in the movie. In the seconds right after seeing his “wolves descend” scene at the prom, I felt impatiently excited to see the sequel. Make him wear platform boots if you have to. That’s what Elisha Cuthbert had to do for House of Wax. Also, I taped his martial arts scene from episode 4 (That Is Not My Son) of My Own Worst Enemy and got the urge to watch it in slow motion. When the fight is over, he turns and smirks. I paused it in disbelief, because his face looked like a wolf. He’s perfect.

Let me say first that I LOVE THE BOOKS and THE MOVIE. I’ve seen the movie at least 10 times. But lets be real about this people. Taylor had all of what 20 minutes in the film, how are we sooo sure that he’s best for the part. I love Taylor but I can’t get Shark Boy out of my head. I just think giving that other guy a hard time on sites is not cool.

Okay first of all if they decide to get rid of taylor lautner (jacob) that would be like getting ride of rob pattinson (edward). I think it would honestly stop me from watching the next movies. He is THE perfect jacob and honestly i speak for all the girls on team jacob; he’s fine the way he is and if he needs to be a foot taller or a bit more built, who cares! You dont see other movies changing their cast half way through the series. This would be like changing the role of harry potter to another person besides radcliffe: it just doesn’t work. So seriously think about this hopefully someone involved in new moon reads this and comes to a realization that if they change the role of jacob, many fans will be extremly upset!

Keep Taylor as jacob hes been trying hard to keep his role by working out trying to look bigger and if they really worried about the comparsion to jake and edward use technology like they did in lord of the rings, it looks bad if hes in the first but they get some other dude to play jacob people have already fallen in love with taylor playing jacob. he`s a perfect jacob should just keep him or many girls are gunna be depressed and riot

I think they should keep taylor as jacob, and i think they should use Steven Strait as the actor who plays Sam Uley, because in my opinion the actor that plays same now wouldnt be the best choice. SO KEEP TAYLOR AS JACOB AND GET STEVEN FOR SAM!

Just keep Taylor Lautner on as Jacob. I mean Steven Strait would be ideal but I doubt they’re gonna get him and plus, so many fans have become attached to the idea of Taylor as Jacob, and not to mention, I’m sure the cast of Twilight have all become attached to each other. As far as Jacob’s physical transformation, I don’t understand what the big deal is… it’s a MOVIE… there is such a thing as editing and special effects… How did every guy in the movie “300” end up with 12 pack abs and ridiculously well formed physique?!?!?… I’m sure that transforming Taylor into the “werewolf” Jacob isn’t something that some make-up and special effect editing can’t take care of… plus he’s such a little cutie!

Now that Jacob Black’s physique has changed because of his supernatural abilities, I think STEVEN STRAIT would be the perfect Jacob Black for New Moon (and succeeding Twilight movies). Even Stephenie Meyer thought Steven would be a good Jacob Black. Don’t get me wrong…Taylor is gorgeous and was perfect as Jacob in his pre-supernatural form. But the books describe an over 6ft tall, 20-ish year old physique Jacob. I wonder if Steven is aware of these posts. Would be great if he can audition for the role….

They better keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black otherwise I am NOT going to see it in theatre and letting them get money off of me. Team Jacob!!!!!!!

Okay if they need to replace Jacob (Taylor), they will have to consider on getting someone that looks hot like Steven Strait…now he can give Edward some competition…I would really hate to see Taylor go but they will need to get someone that looks mature for his part in New Moon!!!!!

While I did think that Taylor was fantastic as Jacob in Twilight, but for New Moon according to the book he would have to grow another foot and a half and be completely muscular. To make that believable would be pretty daunting for CGI and the budget that they will probably be given. If they were not able to make Edward sparkle like diamonds in Twilight for a mere minute, it would probably be difficult to pull that off for the majority of the movie, since he is one the major characters in that book. If they could do it and make it believable would be great, but not real sure they can do that. I guess that we can pray for a growth spurt!!

Taylor IS Jacob!! End of story. He matches every detail of Jacob. He’s gained 19lbs for the movie…that’s devotion right there!! It’s not like Jacob turns into a 26 year old over night…nope! He does so through out the series. And his height? Well with all the different camera angles, that should help!! I love Ashley Greene & she’s rooting for Taylor….yeah TEAM TAYCOB all the wayyy…

Fortunately or unfotunately, but Taylor lautner should be replaced by someone who are able to carry the film as a co-star. It is a story of love and friendship. Could you imagine a nice, soft spoken 16 year old as Jacob?The character practically an “anti -Edward”, and he should be able to balance and challenge Pattinson movie presence. Jacob is a down to earth, street smart “big brother” of Bella (bed behaviour inluded). This role and the relationship with bella is more comlicated and difficult than Edward`s. it is humanly impossible for Kristen or anyone to carry the whole story alone and not to end up like a bad teen actionfilm attempt. i hope the new director is wise and brave enough to make changes and willing to listent to Kristen as well.
