Star-Studded Celebrations for Obama

From the City of Angels to Chicago, Hollywood's finest toasted and cheered the man who will be President of the United States -- Barack Obama.

George Clooney released a statement shortly after it was announced that the Illinois senator is headed to the White House, saying, "I congratulate President-elect Obama on his historic victory, and now it's time to begin unifying the country so we can take on the extraordinary challenges that this generation faces."

A tearful Oprah Winfrey joined the crowd of over 100,000 at Grant Park in Chicago to hear Barack give his victory speech. "I feel a deep sense of pride -- I feel a deep sense of appreciation," Winfrey tells Time magazine. "His steadfast calmness throughout this whole thing has shown all of us what it means to be a leader. I mean, that's who I want leading this country."

On the west coast, Courteney Cox and hubby David Arquette threw a celebratory bash in Obama's honor and toasted the victory with celebrity pals Jennifer Aniston, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, as reported by E! online.

Oprah has again put her money and what power she beleives she holds, behind Barack Obama.

This is he woman all about the enmpowerment of women, so that begs the question why did she not support Hilary Clinton?

She builds schools for black girls only outside of our nation, yet complains about the U.S. reaction to Hurrican Katrina??

She is tacky, places herself well beyond others, and her yearly favorite things show continues to appear of her giving to the needy.

She’s rediculous, a classic case of racist reversism to the core.

I’m certain she is delighted, and has an even more enormous ego, now that she feels like she has picked our nations President.

I seem to recall another King Huessein?

Since when does America elect “kings”?

Dear Oprah has an agenda,
You might want to consider using your brain and spell check before you make another insane comment like the one you just made.

I also want you to major in English “”“”so you do can understand “”“context clues and learn to read between the lines for your decision to analyze Jesse Jackson’s quote.

Hey knucklehead complaining about “oprah has an agenda”. I’d watch picking on others spelling and such.

It was completely unnecessary to capitalize the ” E ” in the word english in the second paragraph?

If you want to be perfect, you should try harder.

Oprah is not that bad, although i would have to agree with you guy’s on some points. Oprah is a very selfless woman who help those who can’t help themselves. I truly believe she should focus her works in america starting in the city thats made her famous (CHICAGO) but overall i really cant stand her but i will judge her further when i see if she follows our NEW PRESIDENT Mr. Barack Obama in helping improve AMERICA a nation UNITED….

It is understandable that you all are upset, but let’s show some dignity for yourselves by not degrading someone you have never met.

I also no longer watch her show…I got sick and tired of her racist comments…I agree that she is very, very ugly on the inside, which is now seeping out to her exterior.

This election just proves that money can buy anything. Oprah disgusts me because of her inner ugliness…I will never ever watch her show again. Not like I could before since I have a JOB.

Remember, why, though. Ugly is on the inside.
