Oprah: I Am So Happy Now!

Millions of people looked on as Oprah tearfully cheered as Barack Obama won the White House -- and moments later, a still-emotional Winfrey shared her elation with "Extra."

"I am just so happy now," said Oprah. "I was saying to people 20 months ago, 'You don't want to be on the wrong side of history'... I would have lost my soul if I had not stood up for Barack Obama and it was worth everything for me to do it."

The talk show queen added, "It feels like something big and bold has happened here... Like nothing ever in our lifetimes!" Oprah regularly stumped for the Illinois senator, and reveals that she has kept in touch with Barack via email. "I don't speak to him as much as we email. I'm just hoping the email address doesn't change!"

"Extra's" AJ Calloway was among the revelers in Grant Park as history was made, and he ran into Winfrey in the strangest of places -- outside the Porta Potty!

Ironically, Oprah dishes to Calloway that her Porta Potty visit was a first! "In all these years at every event, I've said, 'No, no, no.' I'm not going to do the Porta Potty... but tonight, I said I better use it."

Funny that people forgot about the security of our country when voting. A good economy is nothing if we do not have that. I agree with “yeah ok” about people “getting their time”. That is ridiculous. That statement alone is making it all about race. I have heard people say that is the reason they voted for Obama, which is really a sad, sad thing. Remind me to vote for a candidate that happens to be my religion next time there is an election. Forget what they stand for and want to accomplish. Just want to have “my time”.

Yeah, Oprah really does go through a lot every day…I’m so glad she’s finally happy. Give me a break! I can say that women go through a lot since we make less then men and are dominated by men but you don’t see forums like that. I’m so sick of seeing “poor black people” we should “give them their time” People are people and they make their accomplishments on the achievements. Its pathetic how some people (not all but some) will blame what they did or didnt’ do based on their color. Last time I checked our brains were the same color, our souls had no color and our future was bright. Til Tuesday at least

The people of color have all the rights to be happy. They are through a lot on a daily basis. I am white, and I know whites like to dominate all over the world. Everybody has a shot, everybody has a chance. Obama is special, he is very smart, driven and determined. He will all lead you in a new direction of change.

OMG, paaaaalease! I THOUGHT I voted on the issues — someone PLEASE tell me I didn’t just vote in Oprah (incidently, I agree with the one that said, “she’s just now happy” — especially after milking americans of millions. Jeeese, we’ve seen her take ‘Gayle’ and turn her into a ‘star’ (just because she’s O’s friend??). Someone please tell me Obama is not going to reward the “Bigger O” (any way you look at it) by making me have to have her as part of my government. I prefer to be able to use the remote to do away with her.

SHAME ON YOU OPRAH, NOT UNTIL I TURNED ON YOUR TV SHOW, DID IT ALL OF A SUDDEN TURN INTO A BIG RACIAL ISSUE!!! HISTORY BEING MADE FOR THE BLACK MAN OR WOMAN. I AM A 49 YR. OLD WHITE FEMALE, MY DECISION TO VOTE FOR OBAMA DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SKIN COLOR, I WAS HOPING FOR A CHANGE IN THIS ECONOMY, PROMISE OF A NEW PRESIDENT WITH FRESH IDEAS, AND CHANGES TO THIS WORLD, AS ONE!

After all the millions upon millions that Oprah has made off of America, and she is happy “now”?

Sad to believe that she has never been happy until “now”?

It took a black President to make her happy? (eye roll)..

Jessie Jackson said..”Oprah is the queen of finding kings”

Anyone remember electing a KING??

puuullllleeeaaazze.

yeah he’s getting advice…from Ayers and Wright. She was running for VP, not President. I feel that ANYONE should have at least served one complete term and an office before they could run. Show us a change on a small scale before attempting the biggest in our country.

I’m sorry…I thought this wasn’t a race issue? Why then has everyone come out and said - “I voted because I needed to be apart of this because it brings me so much hope and I can tell my kids that they can be anything.” Were you not voting on the issues????

To the “Greatest”. YOU must have talked to yourself in the mirror before YOU posted. You think that YOUR opinion means something:? Newsflash for ya, It DOES NOT!!!!!!!!!!! You don’t know me or Anna but yet you proceed to assume you do and suggest courses for us to take. Maybe you should take one..the course called Common Sense. Oh yes, another one called Maturity!. Before I forget, please don’t try out for the next Last Comic Standing..you won’t stand a chance. Idiots Annonymous maybe.

yes he does but at least he didnt focus on bashing Palin or McCain…he talked about his race and what he is going to try and do for the people…what did she talk about … have you seen any of her interviews during her campaign…oh yes that’s right they didnt want her doing them and when she did she fumbled through them all…and if it wasnt that they were hiding her why did she not stand up enough for herself and say “let me do the interviews and let me answer the questions, i can do it”
i’m not knocking her down or anything all power to her i couldnt do it but i just dont think she is ready…at least Obama has someone by his side to give him advice someone who knows what he is doing

Jake,
You too must enroll…lol
Did you talk to the mirror first before you took all your energy to write your opinion to someone you don’t even know?

You write as if your opinion really matters. That’s funny!

Your foolishness is entertaining, what a great choice to voice your opinion on a entertainment website…lol!

To I’m The Greatest”..NO you are NOT!!!
Who the hell are you saying what you did? I am just telling FACTS!!!!! They are NOT words of destruction, just the plain truth. This is “supposed” to be ONE country, united. How united IS it if one segment of our society wants to put another country’s name in front??? There are famous black americans besides James Earl Jones and everyday friends of mine who say they are not African Americans. They were born here.
How dare you insinuate I am related to Hitler. He killed over 6 million of my people because he thought he and others were better than the Jews. I do not go around saying I am Jewish American, I do not go around blaming all the Germans for killing my people or anyone of Egyptian decent for making my people slaves so many many years ago. We are one country, unless YOU do not want to be part of it. We, who live her legally, are ALL Americans, period. Nothing else. Sure be proud of your heritage but don’t be flaunting it all over the place making yourself stand out over other people. Stand out in your everyday personal accomplishments if you want to be noticed. You yourself are arogant and narcisstic. God is the greatest, by the way. You do not even come close with your stupid comments.
