Is Oprah Winfrey leaving broadcast TV and syndication?

Broadcasting & Cable magazine is reporting it is true! "Oprah's" average of 8 million viewers will have to catch the daytime talk show on cable.

President of Discovery David Zaslav says Winfrey is planning to move "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to her own cable network in 2011. Oprah's production company Harpo and Discovery are working together to create The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Zaslav told B&C, "The current expectation is that after fall 2011 her show will go off of ... syndication, and she will come to OWN."

Harpo says the move is not final.

She is part of the media that she cannot stand that write stories about her. She promotes movies, music, actors, actresses, restaurants, books, magazines, etc. Don’t forget president-elects. People follow her because they want a piece of her wealth, whether it’s right or wrong. Wonder who would have been elected president if she didn’t promote anyone. I have stopped watching her show for a while now.

Lets not forget how Oprah has helped alot of people of all colors, and besides Obama has black and white in him like alot of us do but don’t always addmit it. She also has a right to speek out about who she likes and don’t like just like the rest of you do, maybe more so sinces how she gives alot of herself to the wellbeing of others and until you can do what she had done maybe you should keep your thoughts to yourself. Oprah has worked hard to get wher shes at and I some day would love to meet her, and know matter what or who is in charge GOD IS STILL IN THIS HE’S THE ONE YOU ALL WANT TO WORRY ABOUT!!

I don’t hate her. I just think she’s arrogant and obnoxious. She can do, think and speak how and what she wants, and so can I. McCain losing has nothing to do with the way people feel about her. People just shun those in the media with overinflated egos and delusions of grandeur. That’s all.

I am an African-American. I will say here that Oprah’s behaviour in this past election was beyond acceptance. He behaved like a racist big time. The most foolish thing a person can ever do in an election is to vote for a person because of blood relations or racial connection. In a simple term, as Obama goes up, Oprah go down. Watch this.

My God people, what a hatred. Oprah got where she is because she deserves, I am sure whites would never put her if it was not the case. Do not hate her just because Obama beat Mccain, its not fair. She has the right to do what she wants, like everybody else. I am a foreigner, and white, and I say that Obama will trule lead you on the right direction, when the good time comes you will not even praise him out of being racists some of you, its not fair, everybodoy has a shot and a chance, whites can easily be born black, and people should not be judged by the color of the skin. In Europe we do not have this problem, only in America!!!

The truth of the matter is that Opra is a racist and has always been…she is a very angry person…the white population put her where she is and can take her down just as fast as she got there…it won’t be long before Obama will have to break all ties with this woman…if she continues with her racist remarks. The reason she is threatening cable is because her ratings are down…and her magazine subscriptions are down.

I love Oprah and i hope i can still get her show in 2011, i watch her from wlaj channel 3 at 5pm or one hour earlier at 4pm DON’T LEAVE OPRAH!!!! and if you do please let me get your new network here in the boondocks of a small village of homer, 1800 people. i have watched her for years and her shows are so GOOD, doing so many nice things for OTHERS. I am for the OTHER person too. My husband said she might pick up some cable stations. I hope Oprah sees my message Here and I LOVE IT OPRABAMA never thought of that connection and i am proud of of our NEW PRESIDENT. I am happy to know so many young people got out and voted.
