'First Class All the Way' -- For Less

Sara Duffy, star of Bravo's new travel show, "First Class All the Way" spent seventeen years in the high-end travel industry. Named one of Travel & Leisure's "A-list" agents, Duffy scours the world in search of the most exclusive, one-of-a-kind experiences for the most discerning and demanding clients. Her motto: no mission is too great, no corner of the world too remote, and no experience too immense.

Despite the downturn in the economy, Duffy believes you can still treat yourself to a luxey getaway while minding your wallet with these five tips:

1. Ask your travel consultant for the latest deals. If you're flexible with your dates and destinations, you can save up to 30-60% on many hotels, resorts and cruise lines.

2. Instead of canceling your trip, shorten the length of it to accommodate your budget. Two or three days away can really recharge your batteries.

3. Shorten the distance so you don't have to fly. Hop in your car or take a train to a nearby town or resort area. Luxe up your stay with a massage or great meal.

4. Travel in the off season to get the biggest bang for your buck. The two weeks after Thanksgiving and before December 16th is the calm before the holiday storm -- hotels often offer enticing rates for this period.

5. Check out on-line luxury travel sites that offer upscale, 5-star travel auctions. These auction getaways often go for a small portion of the actual value, but beware of non-refundable/non-changeable restrictions.

Don't miss "First Class All the Way's" premiere episode, "Paris & Monaco," as Sara Duffy delivers the royal treatment to her clients this Monday, November 3 at 9:00 PM on Bravo.

which planet does she live on? Not mine. This is that 10% whose lives stay uneffected and the show is an insult to people who are going throught their 401K’s to stay alive during this bad economy. besides, the show is not even good.
