1031election.jpg

Who do you want to see come out on top of the presidential election?

General election polls currently show Obama ahead of McCain.

NEXT: Countdown to the White House

I’m a democrat & yes I’m for Obama all the way! but get it straite.it’s not because of his color, that’s just the iceing on the cake for those of us who thought we’d never live to see a “qualified” black canidate run for pres.

Me: I totally agree w/ this statement of yours - - “I love the idealogy of Americans finally at a point where a black man (or any man/woman) could become President. I would have voted for a black man. Give me Colin Powell - he at least has experience in the military and in government. But Obama - no experience = no change. He & the Dems with their government run health care and their promises of tax relief will not give you what you are seeking” I myself, for example would vote for Condoleeza Rice if she ran.OOh, look at me; a woman AND an African-American - I’m really avant-garde, no? NO. It’s just like you said.ONE VOTES FOR THE PERSON,NOT WHAT COLOR HE IS. This is only racial in the eyes of the obama voters - absolutely no one else gives a fig about the color of his skin. That’s the best thing about him, actually. He’s the product of two races joining together in love!(I personally believe there is but one race, but people insist on categorizing and sub-categorizing themselves ad nauseum)John McCain is the safer choice for 2008, but this is now forever true: no child can ever again say it’s not possible to succeed because of his race - obama has made that excuse invalid.

Jenny, Jenny, Jenny,
most of the posts here that refer to race are those of Obama supporters. My research is done… and not on Extra.

How do you feel about government run health care…. me- I would rather choose my own. Can’t wait to see what a mess the Dems make of that. You’ll be wishing for your HMO’s back!

How do you feel about a man who has close personal ties to PLO/Palestines and Odinga in Kenya who not only happens to lead ethnic cleansings, but is also Obama’s cousin and who Obama, when visiting Kenya in 2006 spoke on behalf of and threw his support behind.

Me- I love the idealogy of Americans finally at a point where a black man (or any man/woman) could become President. I would have voted for a black man. Give me Colin Powell - he at least has experience in the military and in government. But Obama - no experience = no change. He & the Dems with their government run health care and their promises of tax relief will not give you what you are seeking.

To quote another black man - “I pity the fool”…..

If elected, Obama will in effect be taking almost 65% in taxes out of my paycheck…HOW IS THAT FAIR???? He claims for lower taxes but he stated that withholding taxes will be raised from 28% to 39%! That is insane! Why do I have to work my butt off to pay for other people? To give it to the people who won’t get off their butts and work! Forget it!

I am so scared that Obama may actually win. What will happen to my 401K? It will drop. What will happen to my taxes? They will be raised to “spread the wealth”. I have not been busting my butt working 3 jobs to pay for other people. What will happen to the children that will be dying because of the partial birth abortion he allows? What will happen to our safety? It will be gone. Please thing rationally. Please vote in an educated manner. Look at the bigger picture. Obama’s wife was quoted as saying this is the first time in her adult life she has been proud of her country…well McCain was so proud that he stayed longer in hell to not speak badly about this country. Obama’s pastor hates whites. Obama’s ties are extremely questionable and Obama’s aunt is here illegally. Please do your research and don’t just listen to a good speech! Somebody else writes those for him! Look at the man itself. Vote McCain!

Wow, it’s so interesting to read all of these anti-Obama comments laced with outright racism.

Also, for all of you who think Extra is biased — WAKE UP! This is a show that focuses on CELEBRITY news, and therefore, will post more about the person CELEBRITIES vote for.

If this is where you’re getting all of your election information, then I’m terrified that you’re allowed to vote at all.

I am a Democrat & I just voted McCain/Palin. As a matter of fact, I voted straight Republican. I figured if the Democratic party can place someone in a position to be elected President of these United States who is not only not qualified but has questionable ties, then I no longer wish to be associated with that party. I will be changing parties as soon as I am able.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the heads-up on the Saddleback Church Civil Forum w/ Obama and McCain… That should have replayed Monday night for all to see before heading into the polls… They also should’ve just replayed it instead of the debates (those were a crock). I really liked this format. It was totally fair for both men!!! They were able to answer the same questions without hearing each other answers (and without being interrupted)…

McCain really is the better man…

Hopefully the Laverns will stay home tomorrow. I’m petrified of the logic and motivation (oh, BTW, say goodbye to that word, along with ‘incentive’, if obama wins)that spurs these empty voices into the actions they’ll take, voting for someone for ONE reason only. There’s no other explanation; look at any demographic pie chart. With everything that’s known, and becoming known about this person, people are still, inexplicably willing to throw down and choose cover over book, style over substance, cheap talk over tangible loyalty. If your country means that little to you, you’ll see, that indifference pales in comparison to the ambivalence of an inexperienced, oddly confident, secretive, duplicitous,’great speaker’.He’s counting on the complacency, ignorance, and gullibility of the easily persuaded - they are the only ones who are still buying into his rhetoric. PS: If it’s a(n) historic vote you’re after, there have ALWAYS been men in the White House - there’s never been a female vice pres. And she actually knows what she’s doing, too.

in case you missed this
Barack Obama Obama supports relaxing federal restrictions on embryonic stem cell research. He voted for the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005, which was vetoed by President Bush. The bill would have allowed federal funding to be used for research on stem cell lines obtained from discarded human embryos originally created for fertility treatments.

The Candidates on Education

————————————————————————————————————————

John McCain McCain supports vouchers that would allow students to attend public or private schools, including religious schools, arguing that “it’s time to give middle- and lower-income parents the same right wealthier families have – to send their child to the school that best meets their needs.” In February 2007, McCain spoke at an event sponsored by the Discovery Institute, a think tank known for promoting the concept of “intelligent design.” He says that Darwin’s theory of evolution is “valid” but that students should be “exposed to every point of view.”

————————————————————————————————————————

Barack Obama In a February 2008 interview Obama said he supports charter schools “as a way to foster competition in the public school system,” and later he said he would double federal funding for charter schools if elected president. During the third presidential debate Obama said he does not support the use of government vouchers to attend private schools “because the data doesn’t show that it actually solves the problem.” In an April forum with other Democratic candidates, Obama said he believes in both evolution and the biblical story of creation and does not “think science generally is incompatible with Christian faith.”

Lavern,
Research the Pew Forum on your candidates stem cell research views. You have your information backwards…

The Candidates on Stem Cell Research

————————————————————————————————————————

John McCain McCain opposes embryonic stem cell research that uses cloned human embryos. In 2006 he supported a trio of U.S. Senate bills designed to increase federal funding for adult stem cell research, ban the creation of embryos for research and offer federal support for research using embryos slated for destruction by fertility clinics. In 2007, in what he described as “a very agonizing and tough decision,” he voted to allow research using human embryos left over from fertility treatments.

————————————————————————————————————————

Barack Obama Obama supports relaxing federal restrictions on embryonic stem cell research. He voted for the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005, which was vetoed by President Bush. The bill would have allowed federal funding to be used for research on stem cell lines obtained from discarded human embryos originally created for fertility treatments.

Lavern,

You seem like you really have a passion to talk about your faith. Let me ask you a few questions:

1) What does your faith say about abortion?

2) What does your faith say about support of Israel?

3) What does your faith say about the type of people believers should seek to surround themselves with?

4) What does your faith say about the way to heaven?

5) What does your faith say about people of other races?

I’m curious….

I sure you don’t think John McCain can keep us safe, the trickster has tricked
you big time. He did’nt keep himself safe. As far as I’m concern it has nothing to do with color but it looks
like it does with you. Someone sincere
is what I look for and likeable,God looks at the heart, your motives not someone who just wants to be president
and be rich and for the prestige and honor it brings. I want someone who really wants to make a difference, make a change, make the world a better place,
where there’s unity. United We Stand
One Nation Under God!

Lavern,

Two things…

1) You did not review the Saddleback church videos. If you call yourself a Christian, you NEED to review these videos. Please take the time and do so. I think you’ll be floored by Obama and Mccain’s own words.

2) To say “He’s very intelligent and
educated. The preacher and professor did not help him to get where he is” is pure foolishness. There were many people who helped him besides these two men. In response to these two - Ayers housed Obama’s coming out party as a politician. Wright, his minister for 20 years, helped form his theology, philosophy and world view. Please don’t kid yourself with thinking Obama is an “almighty messiah” who came to his world view all by himself. In fact, in the LA Times video story (they continue to hold back from us), Obama shared stories with the PLO crowd about how Rashid (a known terrorist) had greatly influenced Obama’s views of the middle east. He hoped to “continue these talks” and have an openness of mind. I guess he still hasn’t figured out his own opinion. Wow…

Remember…in his books Obama purposefully sought out these people starting in college to influence his views. He likes radical thought and will bring corruption to this nation.

There are none so blind than those who will not see - and that’s EXACTLY what barack hussein obama is counting on. He’s using you now; he’ll use you more later. People are dangerously refusing to see past his color. That’s the BEST thing about him; it is, however, no reason to vote for him. People of color always say not to judge by race, yet that is just what’s going on here. That’s the only explanation for ignoring all the obvious reasons NOT to vote for him. We need someone who will keep us safe from the way the world is NOW, not give it to someone who thinks he’s going to magically make the country what he wants it to be. He’s made so many proclamations and promises to that end, that he’d have to live to a THOUSAND to fulfill them.

I don’t believe what you just quoted
because he said he would do anything to
be president and he’s doing it now lying.
He voted twice against tax cuts.
Now he is so for tax cuts.
He was known to be a moderate.
Now he’s a conservative because he
wants to win the election and he wants to get the Christian Conservative vote.
He’s claims to be pro-life but he’s
for embyro stem research.
The man is a hypocrite a trickster.
I will be glad when the election is over.

AND I QUOTE:

” I’d rather lose an election, than lose a war “

John Sidney McCain

I’m still waiting to hear of the “accomplishments” of Senator Barack Huessein Obama? I’m still awaiting to hear exactly what Barack Huessein Obama has done for the better-ment of the country I live in…

I’m still wanting to know exactly WHY the coincidences surrounding his associations with a known terrorist? I’m still wondering why Barack Huessein Obama would not get up and walk out of a church preaching hatred of white people and white america?

Why he’d vote 94 times to raise taxes, and boast in an election season that he will now lower them?
