Countdown to the White House

1104election.jpg

Politicians are jet-setting all over the country -- and "Extra" is taking a peek at their Election Day itineraries!

Senator John McCain is voting in Arizona, after a seven-state marathon, while his opponent, Barack Obama, is balloting with his family in Chicago. Both of the presidential candidates sent last-minute election messages out during Monday Night Football halftime last night.

When asked what he wanted his supporters to think, McCain said of himself, "I want them to think he could go all the way to the White House!" In his spot, Obama said, "This is a big election -- make sure your voice is heard."

MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews says that no matter who takes the vote today, one thing is certain: "The number of people who voted today is through the roof -- there's nothing like it. Nothing like it."

Heaven forbid you dislike President Elect Obama for the questionable background of his life? Heaven forbid you dislike the elected President for his lack of experience?

For many of “us” it has absolutely nothing to do with Obama being “black”. Because by all facts he isn’t! He is black and white!

Some of “us” preferred McCain simply for his time put into the system. His actual “experience”. I for one am a bit ashamed that this election turned out to reflect a “history making moment” as opposed to a deserving Veteran whom has paid his dues in showing nothing but patriotism for his country! I guess “making history” was more important than experience, know-how, and actually earning the position as president. I personally believe that military experience should be required in the run for the highest office in the nation. I’d like to think I’m not alone in these views. But to each their own.

get outta town and take your haters racist club with you! just because some people don’t like obama you gotta join the clan calling them racist? seems lame to me that people aren’t entitled to dislike a president without being called a racist? so exactly what are people like you called that don’t like president bush? that’s fine, you must be a homophobe then.

- "no racist here"

You are obviously a RACIST. You brought up the notion as a sort of club to beat the person commenting into some sort of dismissal!!

Bush did do some military, although dodging some antics. But for you to call others Racist simply because they don’t care for or like our President elect is completely moronic and shallow on your own part. Accept the “opinion” for what it is without crying RACIST. That card and crutch is quickly becoming too old to batter people with. We now have proven that all races have elected this man to the white house, for if it were only blacks then he truly would not have been elected!!

Get off your racist soap box, and stop trying to shut people up by calling them “racist”!! It takes a racist to make such stupid accusations!

Under your terms, black people cannot even remotely be racist then?? Wake up, it’s a two way street!

to the comment below: george w. bush had “0” wartime experience, how do you think he made it through those 8 years? hmmm! you are the foolish one. i know that obama is black and that is what your problem is. if obama was a white man, you wouldn’t be bitching and complaining. it’s all about race to you.

Are you SERIOUS?? This “mess” was created by democrats and republicans alike. Don’t start pointing fingers, because you’ll only wind up making yourself look foolish! This “mess” is the responsibility of ALL Americans whom didn’t bother paying back their debts!? You’ve probably blamed President Bush for the Hurricane that hit New Orleans, because we all know how our President should better control mother nature?? NOT EVERYTHING IS GEORGE BUSH’ FAULT, NOR IS IT THE REPUBLICANS SOLE RESPONSIBILITY!!!

And are you seriously asking HOW John McCain would protect us?? He is a WAR VETERAN!! A 5 year P.O.W. a 22 year service man!!! A 26 year Senator!! He at least HAS military experience, the joker in there now has ZERO- ZILCH- NILL - Absolutely NO MILITARY EXPERIENCE WHAT-SO-EVER. He had an extremely EASY street into the white house.. I choose to call it “affirmative action” media style! The lesser qualified black man got the job over the more than qualified white man. Oblahma got into the white house by being treated like a celebrity child. Being President will be a tough job,.. and your about to see THIS President Elect SWEAT!

And if you haven’t noticed.. Most of the people he is hiring into positions regarding our “protection” HOMELAND SECURITY.. are INDEED those that were protecting the U.S. under the BUSH Administration..!!??

Get Educated and informed NOW! Obviously you didn’t before you VOTED!!

Well, my friends, barack hussein obama has bought himself 4 yrs in the White House, against all better judgement. I don’t ever want to hear any more whining about not being able to attain, achieve or prosper in this country because of race - he at least has taken care of THAT excuse. God bless John McCain and family, and Sarah Palin and family. Thank you for working so hard to try and protect us. You both certainly had MY vote.

The same folks who are shouting from the rooftops that they are voting for Obama because he will rain money down on them by lowering their taxes are the ones blindly following Obama because they think they will be sharing the wealth. Do you actually know what his “savings” boil down to?

IF YOU EARN
UNDER $19K your taxes will go down -$567.00 or $10.90 per week
$19k-$38K - -$892 or $17.15 per week
$38-$66K = -$1042 or $20.04 per week

Even at the highest earned savings
$161K-$227K annual = $2,789 in savings gives you an extra $53.63 per week.

May seem like a lot, but how many lower income families are voting for Obama because he is going to save them gobs of money…. When you break it down, it isn’t much…. SEE WHAT OBAMA BOUGHT YOUR VOTE FOR!

Didn’t buy mine… but these are the same folks who then blindly defend a man who has spent a ridiculous amount of money campaigning… because “that is what the money is for”.

This is the same man who signed an agreement to limit campaign spending and then he blows 3.5 million (that’s six zeros for those of us who can only imagine what kind of money that is) on 1 (ONE) half hour infomercial.

Do you know how many mouths that could feed? If he was truly for the American people and their bottom-line and welfare… I’m sure he could have found a better use for it.

“The number of people who voted today is through the roof — there’s nothing like it. Nothing like it.” There’s only one reason for this, and it’s coming more from the black population, than from the female population (which is odd, considering it’s historic for WOMEN, as well as black and/or bi-racial voters, to have one of our/their own). The reason is repeatedly reflected in the comment heard around the block,in the office,in celeb and certain music mags, and in large cities: ‘We never thought we’d see this day’ . Beware the repercussions of voting with your heart, and not your brain. One minute of glory will hopefully not turn to 4 yrs. of uncertainty, fear, and socialism.
