Check out this clip of Brooke Smith's last appearance on ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy." The move, according to series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes, is said to be a creative decision unrelated to the sexual orientation of Smith's character.

The chemistry between them just wasn’t there. I found it very akward and hard to watch..but when with Dr. McSteamy…the chemistry…is definitly there. I think the concept was good the pairing was bad
She may be a good actress BUT she doesn’t blend well with the rest. She’s like the ODD one…I’d rather see Shonda develop story lines for the new “trainees”. By the way…nice to see Izzie finally find closure with her dead loved one (Duquet)..Now Izzie & Karev could be as they used to be….They were a good match…

I am very glad to see her go. My family and I stopped watching because of her story line.
