Brooke Burke is 'Dancing' Champ!

TV personality and model Brooke Burke was crowned season 7 champ last night on "Dancing with the Stars." The 37-year-old mother of four was announced the winner after the judges scores were combined with viewer votes.

Professional partner and first time winner Derek Hough was in shock, saying, "I actually can't believe it! I really can't, I honestly can't. The journey's been so long. It's been tough. It's been wonderful. It's been everything I could ever hope for. Wow. I can't believe we actually did it, girl!"

Burke came in first place eight out of ten times, receiving a 10 from the judges 16 times this season. She was able to maintain an eight point lead over Super Bowl champ Warren Sapp. The former football star took second place with professional partner Kym Johnson. *N Sync's Lance Bass landed in the third spot with partner Lacey Schwimmer.

Previous season 7 competitors included actor Cody Linley, Olympic sprinter Maurice Green, soap star Susan Lucci, Oscar-winner Cloris Leachman, chef Rocco DiSpirito, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, actor Ten McGinley, comedian Jeffrey Ross, volleyball star Misty May-Treanor and singer Toni Braxton.

Some of the contestants will hop on a tour bus for a 38-city "Dancing with the Stars" tour. The show kicks off December 17 in San Diego.

i really dont think brooke shouldve won. there is something weird..and not right. she is a freaking model and mother of 4 how can she learn to get her body moving like that without lessons before the show. i think she had to of done something before the show even started to do that good. warren and lance continuosly got better where as brooke stayed the same the entire season. somethings not right about her and her fake body.

WOW Chris seems to me that you have some issues. Its a good thing you dont live here if you feel that embarrassed. However you said that you “ARE AN AMERICAN” must mean by your standards that you are very overweight as well. Poor you. ( oh and BTW I am 5’9 127 lbs. and I love to watch DWTS ) PEACE.

Did you notice Derek’s face fall with the announcement of Warren Sapp for second place?
As a pro, Derek knew Lance was clearly the better dancer.
I’m disappointed with the obvious P.C. in the program.

I LOVE EXTRA TV AND I LOVE DWTS!!!!!! ITS ALL GOOD, DANCING IS GOOD EXCERCISE AND WHERE I LIVE, BECAUSE OF THE SHOW, DANCE STUDIOS ARE BOOMING, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE SIGNING UP TO DANCE. IT’S A POSITIVE SHOW AND GUESS WHAT LOSERS AND BASHERS, IT’S ALL GOOD!!!!!!!!

Chris: I am sure you have watched a sports show like Football etc, gone to a show or movie, play with a nintendo or XBox as well. I think it’s great to watch an 80 year old woman dancing like Cloris Leachman. It’s nice to see an actress do something different. They said that dancing like they do are certified athletes because of the hard work they do. Even though I’m not an American, it gives one a great idea to help loose weight by taking up the Dancing or even Yoga for that matter. I am part British, Norweigan, and German. I don’t watch that much but do every once in a while, I sit at my computer sometimes but most of the time I chase my Grandkid’s or pets, go to a friends house. The reason this is here is for people who enjoy what they watch on TV, it’s also an encouragement for people to go out and do things like that as well as for the Star’s. I don’t think you would bash your family or your self for watching TV or any reality TV shows etc.

Season 7 was one of the most satisfying ever, especially when it came to the magical coupling of Derek Hough and Brooke Burke. Strange, perhaps, that a 23-year-old youngster and a 37-year-old mother of four should have such great chemistry together, but they did. They were great, and deserved to win.
