Is This Obama's Dog?!

President-elect Barack Obama promised his daughters a presidential puppy -- but is this poodle the pooch he chose to be First Dog?

That's false. Barack Obama met with author Jana Kohl and was so inspired by Kohl and her rescued pup, Baby, that he agreed to pose in this picture for her book, "A Rare Breed of Love: The True Story of Baby and the Mission She Inspired to Help Dogs Everywhere."

Obama has announced that his family plans to adopt a canine to join them in the White House, to raise awareness about the inhumanity of puppy mills -- and why they need to be shut down.

Its supposed to be about Entertainment…not everytime Obama blinks. And many of us don’t care! Can’t we just hear about Britney Spears not wearing underwear…PLEASE!

It’s up here because people like dogs, and they want two little girls to be happy. With all the nasty crap to listen to and read, why not something nice???? Lovely change, I say.

Rescue dogs rock! Mine is from a rescue, and she is the love of my life. My husband feels the same way. They should check out the AKC website for breeds that work best for families with children. Some are very smart and very cute, but simply aren’t patient enough to be around kids. There are many purebreeds at rescues if you have your heart set on a particular kind; our yellow lab melts our hearts!!

They need to adopt or get a dog from a rescue.
They might also consider an older rescue dog.
