Is This Obama's Dog?!

President-elect Barack Obama promised his daughters a presidential puppy -- but is this poodle the pooch he chose to be First Dog?

1106obamadog.jpg

That's false. Barack Obama met with author Jana Kohl and was so inspired by Kohl and her rescued pup, Baby, that he agreed to pose in this picture for her book, "A Rare Breed of Love: The True Story of Baby and the Mission She Inspired to Help Dogs Everywhere."

Obama has announced that his family plans to adopt a canine to join them in the White House, to raise awareness about the inhumanity of puppy mills -- and why they need to be shut down.

NEXT: VOTE: The Next First Pet?

Thanks !… >-) ..

This is a very nice site, Thank you all who have voted or believed me, believed in a change across the world. We are planning to adopt a canine and stop the raise in puppy mills. My daughters were thinking about the Golden noodle, but we aren’t shure yet. Thank you once more.

With the Obama’s on the search for the next presidential pup, Womansday.com has thrown our hat into the ring to help with the decision making. Our amusing retrospective of presidential pets offers the First Family-elect some insight into the animals that have napped in the Oval Office, and some advice on which pup breed may be best for them. www.womansday.com/Articles/Family-Lifestyle/Pets/Presidential-Pets-A-Retrospective.html

PLEASE… I have the perfect little dog for the Senator Obama and his family.

It is a little Bolognese girl ( I was going to keep her) that was born September 8, 2008.

Bolo’s are an Italian rare breed (only about 1,000 in the entire US), they are small, white, hypo-allergenic, non-shedding, NON-aggressive.. cuddly dogs.
These dogs DO NOT YAP :o) :o) :o) and are not aggressive.

Bella (what I named her) would be about 7-9 pounds when fully grown AND the perfect companion dogs for the girls.

My daughter (Victoria Ayer who was a Congressional Aide for Congressman Sam Gejdenson and now working in South Africa ) would be thrilled to see the family get one of these dogs.

I would be proud to present Bella to the family

Sincerely,

I think they should take one of our chihuhua’s that we have… they are 8 weeks old and they are black with white markings…which you don’t see that much…usually they are always tan or brown… They are really cute..we have 4 to choose from and they don’t cause allergies, I know that they were worried about that. I would love to give them one of our puppies. They give so much love and they are good with kids. :)
If I could post a picture on here I would…they are so adorable…

I think they should go to pug rescue.com and get an adorable PUG puppy. They are easy to care for, loyal, loving, devoted, affectionate, very funny, like little clowns, very amusing, very smart, the Duke and Dutchess of Windsor had five pugs at one time. They are an ancient breed and were the dogs of royalty. They would fit in perfectly. In fact they should get a pair of pugs, a fawn and a black pug. I have always had pugs and couldn’t be happier. They are the perfect companion and are absolutely Adorable…..

It’s awesome that Obama wants to get his daughter’s pet puppy at a humane society or other rescue organization and usually I would support that 100%. However, since his daughter is allergic to dogs, I think they should get a labradoodle. And, while we’re on the topic of hybrids, I also think Obama should ride in a stretch Prius limousine. That would send a great, green message!

I think that a maltese puppy has a great temperment. This little puppy puts its owener first in the love and loyality category. This little friend is small and a great companion while daddy and mommy have to take care of
. much needed business

The perfect dog for the Obama’s is a Shitzu pup, they are small, no allergies, and great temperament.

I think they should adopt a kind of dog that hasent been seen in the white house before. I think a husky or miniaute schnauzer. Something new and fresh.

This is not stupid! How can anyone say that? I love that he’s helping animals.
He should adopt a pet from a shelter.
This just makes me even more postive that I voted for the right president.
