Barack Obama's Grandmother Dies

1103obama.jpg

Just one day short of Election Day, presidential candidate Barack Obama has announced that his maternal grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died of cancer.

In a joint statement released with his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng, Barack said, "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances."

The senator is in his final campaign swing for the White House. Just two weeks ago, Obama took a two-day hiatus to visit his ailing grandmother in Hawaii -- and related the emotional visit in an interview with "Extra." "She's not doing well," the senator admitted after his trip, "so it was important for me to make sure I saw her because she really was one of the three people who helped raise me when I was a kid.

Before leaving Hawaii, Barack tells "Extra" that his grandmother gave him parting words for him to think about. "She said, 'Just don't make too much of a fuss about me -- just go and finish what you need to do.'"

Obama has described Dunham as a surrogate parent. She was 85.

Cindy and John McCain issued a statement saying: "We offer our deepest condolences to Barack Obama and his family as they grieve the loss of their beloved grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them as they remember and celebrate the life of someone who had such a profound impact in their lives."

I feel sorry for his family that his grandmother died; but as I can see it, he threw her under the bus when he called her a “typical white woman” and he said this when she was still alive and sick!! What an ungrateful grandson!! He will miss her now and regret what he said… maybe if she would have boxed his ears when he was a kid, he would have looked less like a donkey.. still regrets for his grandmother passing… too bad he grew into a cocky little spoiled brat!!

For me it has nothing to do with race, but for many they have made their decisions solely on color. They are ignoring all the facts and its very sad. I will be mortified if this radical (not black, not democrat, but a very extreme radical) becomes President. We cannot survive him. It will be the end of the US, we will endure terror and destruction.

I’m very sorry for the loss of mr. obama’s grandmother. Take heed that it was she (and all that she is)who embraced him, nurtured him, helped him love himself, and gave him strength and hope. I’ll light a candle on my way to vote for John McCain. My condolences.

PS- I hate to say it, but I too, agree with Bryant. This country is going to become scary if Obama wins…it will lead to seperation of all races because there is too many ppl out there who would KILL than to admit we have a “black” president…I like Obama, he’s a strong speaker, respectful and hopeful, but sadly, I dont think this country can handle that decision in today’s world…Too many hateful ppl just aren’t ready to admit it…I wish it was different…

To John Bryant:

It is despicable and disgusting that you would even suggest that Barack Obama would use the death of his grandmother (WHO RAISED HIM) for political gain.

You sir, are a glowing example of a McCain/Palin voter. So desperate for your candidate to get ahead (which he won’t) that you would stoop to the level of suggesting a candidate would in some way gain from the death of his grandmother.

I’m ashamed that you share the same country as me.

Now you have two reasons to vote for Barack Huessein Oblahma..

1- His Grandmother died

2- He’s Black

Isn’t that all you truly need??

(sarcasm)

That’s correct, CWright! You CAN be anything you want with EDUCATION, and support. Let’s hope he never forgets from WHOM that support came. LOVE knows no color. Too bad people are voting simply for that reason. That’s an insult to him AND his nana.

Why worry people.. Barack Huessein himself will drop down on a cloud and haul her off into the skies above us!

Then he’ll come back and part the sea from here to Iraq, bringing our soldiers back home.

The one thing I am waiting for is him to place his hands on all whom voted for him so as to restore their SIGHT and HEARING! Pathetic blind sheep followers, following like fools to the processing fields of our demise.

It is a hard thing to say; but back when his grandmother first got sick I said how it was a little too convent and I also told anyone that would listen this “Mark my words if he is what I suspect then you expect his grandmother to die the day before the election to garner the sympathy vote” I can post emails to prove I said it would happen; but no one is going to believe it here; but those around me know I said it was going to happen. Obama is not right for the country and I am not saying he had anything to do with his grandmother dying the day before the election; but it is just too convent just like the economic crisis which hit at **just the right time** to help Obama I never was one to believe in consperiseys but this is starting to look like what the Bible foretells; because I know that a lot of rich blacks could have helped the stock market along by giving it a push; but it is starting to sound like Obama might just be the anti-crist. I am starting to think that the end times are near; because if Obama wins the white radicals will riot if Obama doesn’t win then the black radicals will riot either way we are in for some very scary times.

God Bless this family in this time of sorrow and it surely will have devastating effects on the victory party when Barack wins this elections tomorrow. However, Grandma Toot will be watching from Heaven and continue to guide him as he goes on with his next journey. God Bless!
