Whoopi: 'No Personal Digs'

"Extra" caught up with Whoopi Goldberg during her New York book signing today. Whoopi spilled on the backstage drama between her "View" co-hostesses, saying, "You can disagree with your friends, loved ones and not make it personal. In spite of what anybody reads or says, there are no personal digs taken at that table." Goldberg hopes people will "stop listening for trouble and hear what we are talking about ... Listen to us as we speak, not as other people interpret us."

"The View" co-hostess also offered her opinion on the presidential race. "I think it's going to be incredibly close ... The truth of the matter is, you don't know what anybody is going to do once they walk in that voting booth." She continued, "Most people recognize, I think, B.S. when they hear it. I think most people are smart enough to know they are going to have to study the issues."

Whoopi was signing copies of her new children's book, "Sugar Plum Ballerinas" -- in stores now.

I think those that protest the show and do not like the discussions had by the panel are missing the whole point of the show!!
It is called the view, different women, different ethnicity, different belief systems, different politically, different ages that is what is all about!!Each of them have something to bring to the table and are all equally passionate about their beliefs.
This is what makes the world go round. If we were all the same and had the same ideas and beliefs how boring.I believe you can have a spirited discussion with friends and remain friends.
Grow up people and if you find it so unbearable simply DO NOT WATCH!!

The View is so liberal minded and both sides are never heard of an issue. These are hateful, vengeful women that try to push their “view” off on everyone. Oh yes, and they are all unattractive too—(except for the blonde Elizabeth!)

I watch the view daily and find it to be a great show. It was more for entertainment when I began watching, now I watch to see what is the latest on what is happening in the election process. No matter who you want to win, the ladies of the view are definitely strong supporters of both canidates. The fact that Elizabeth is the only one who thinks the Republican Party is the best bet for the White House is great! That means the women of the view are not only entertaining and informative, but they are also a great measurement of the women of this country and how we think.

I’m torn on the whole listen to what we say not how it’s interpreted. That’s all fair and good, but have something to actually say. Day in and day out its Palin Palin Palin dumb stupid Palin, and God bless Obama. Do they actually think it helps their cause? I often wonder. All I hear on every major network is Hillary tried it and it didn’t work. Let me be the first to correct you, it did work. However by that time over half the states had already voted so there wasn’t much to be done. His lead was unbeatable by that time. i want joy and Whoopie and MSNBC and CNN to continue all of this. Just remember when Hillary was the underdog and those “thoughts” came into play she really swept the floor with him.

Yanno, what’s worse is having The View try and lie what we all saw on the show. There was a heated convo between Elizabeth and Joy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it did conintue off the stage.I know they are both passionate about who they want to win. But I have to tell you Elizabeth was out of hand.I could care less if she does not like Mr. Obama, but he should not have to be called a terrorist. Elizabeth needs to look in her own parties backyard and count the number of KKK fans who are in there. Enough is enough.I was kinda glad JOY stood up to her about the lies.

Four against one is hardly what I’d call fair and balanced but then again, that wasn’t their goal to begin with. Isn’t is amazing that this is going to be a close presidential race even though the left has the major networks and all but one news cable outlet blindly on their side - then add in SNL, all of Hollywood, late night comics, etc. Strange that it’s still going to be a close race. I guess there really are more conservatives out there than what these people so obsessed with “truth” will allow us to think.

If you have watched The View from the very beginning as I have, you might have noticed that the real trouble on the show is Joy Behar. It’s her way or the highway. She acts like a very spoiled only child - which I think she is. Her disgusted looks when someone says something she doesn’t agree with shows it all.

How is anyone supposed to listen to what they speak when all they do is scream over each other? The only good day on the view in recent history is when Bill O’Reily was on the other day. I loved that he put Joy Behar in her place. The show is horrible.

“stop listening for trouble and hear what we are talking about … Listen to us as we speak, not as other people interpret us.”

——- And now we know how Palin feels….

I do not think that some people are smart enough to see thru the b.s. They are followers and if this celebrity and that celebrity think a candidate is good, people will think that is gospel.
They think that their favorite celebrity studied the issues already and that is good enough for them. People can be like sheep…they just follow along.
