Your Front Row Seat for Usher's New Political Vid

Check out Usher's socially relevant new music video for his single "Hush." The singer blogs, "'Hush' is about my awakening over the past 10 years to the social issues in our country, and realizing that I have a voice."

The video touches on issues like gas shortages, homelessness, war, and the importance of voting.

Usher kicks off his "One Night Stand" tour on November 2 in Atlantic City.

Yeah, yeah, we get it - vote for ‘change’ (that’s the code word) There’s a lot more to someone than the color of their skin, isn’t that what’s always chanted? Yet, that is EXACTLY what is going on right now. Well, ush, I have a voice, too, no less important than yours. If all this hoopla was the other way around, it’d be called racism. If bo were skewered every 5 min. on a ‘comedy’ or talk show the way Sen. McCain has been, al sharpie would be flailing and yowling in front of each network headquarters - the double standard that’s been allowed is disgusting. (even tho the reason is clear to me as to why) It’s a ridiculous and dangerous game to cast a vote for the wrong reason, resulting in having the wrong president.

Why are there only seemingly unfortunate black people in this video?

I guess it is impossible for a white person to be in dire need?

And he’s talking about six figure income folks, yet is that a black escalade or something he pulls up in , and drives away in.

I can appreciate the “vote” message, but I feel this video is quite slanted to a certain candidate, and I don’t think I need to mention whom that candidate is.

And wasn’t that the Mayor of New Orleans.. Nagin? “make the city of New Orleans chocolate”..
