Tina's Take on Palin's 'SNL' Cameo

0912fey.jpg

Comedienne Tina Fey has been portraying Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live" for weeks -- and Saturday, Palin came face-to-face with her impersonator.

Sarah's spoof on "SNL" earned her a surprisingly good review from Fey, who answered, "Good, good," when asked how Palin did on the show. The governor was spotted pre-show, carrying baby Trig at the hotel where TMZ reports Palin used the alias "Tina" to check in -- and gushed about how much fun she had on the show. "It was so much fun, and the cast members were just amazing -- talented and sharp." Palin told APTN. "It was a blast."

Alec Baldwin praised Palin as "polite and gracious" -- while "SNL" alum Chevy Chase had a completely different view of Sarah. "Obviously, nobody wrote anything for her," Chase said. "It's not like she did anything -- what can you write for her?! It's like writing for a pecan pie or something."

Tina praised Sarah's cameo, and while the two barely glanced at each other while they shared the screen -- did they speak backstage? According to cast member Jason Sudeikis, that's a yes. "I saw them say hello to each other... a little bit here and there," he revealed.

I am a man, and African-America, but Tina Fey is the worst tragedy that ever happened to women. She is so cheap to buy. I wonder how much she get to bring her fellow women down on SNL.

My dad always say: “You always fight people who are above and ahead of you”. Governor Sarah Palin is above and ahead all her critics. When political and leadership of the present day America is written, Tina Fey will not be in that history book. That’s for sure.

They seem like such typical lib phonies at SNL. I read that the cast DID NOT want Palin (as if they had the call!), but Lorne Michaels did, so, obviously they had no choice! If this is true (and from what I know of them and their type, it is)it only proves what everyone says about thie so-called liberal way of thinking. Imagine the gall of these nazees

That’s why they HAVE such big mouths - they know (or THINK they know - cause if they don’t shut up, it might backfire, and they’ll have NO fans), their lives will never change. And for all the talk of ‘change’, neither will the obama’s lives. Your post did make me chuckle, tho, Chris K!

I don’t know why anybody cares what these celebs think? Can any of us relate to them? I find the comments that Chevy Chase, Madonna, Charlie Sheen, Rosie O’Donnell and “slaveries coming back just for you” Whoopi Goldberg are making, childish and stupid. If god forbid their beloved Obama falters and McCain becomes President… the world’s gonna end! Slaveries coming back and their rich limousine pampered lives will be forever altered.

I’m sick of their S*!t and I hope they keep talking because it reminds everybody who propped Obama up there.

I think that was awesome of her! Even with them making fun she was the bigger person. She was funny and showed that she’s human and can relate to the world. MCCAIN PALIN all the way!!!

Poor Chevy. Sure you were “funny” in your “time”.. but to knock on Palin was completely uncalled for? Your political views are best kept to yourself. You, of all celebrities, are old enough to realize that? Don’t be jealous because Sarah was on the show and you had to be in “the audience”. Chip on your ole’ shoulder there Chevy? Longing for the old days back? So isn’t SNL, not truly funny for a long long time.

You know how many homesexural couples would take your babies and treat them like gods. and people who cant have children. Sara took her child proudly like a mother should, and love him just as much of her other children I think saras should be the mother of our country!!!!!!!!!! The truth is a scary movie for you liberals. P J G

Palin is a joke, and she offered very little on SNL. She’ll do anything for some publicity. It didn’t help her image one iota!

A bit ironic for chevy to say that about Palin. I remember SNL from its beginning, and he was only funny when he HAD stuff written for him. Otherwise, he was nothing more than goofy faces and pratfalls, w/ no humor to his personality unless he was strictly guided by the pros. Well,I guess it doesn’t matter who even sees him now, anyway? You’d think that at his age, tho, he’d be able to separate his politics from a comedy or social situation. Even Alec Baldwin was able to do THAT!!
