Should John McCain Appear on the 'Late Show?'

David Letterman was fuming after Sen. John McCain cancelled an appearance on the "Late Show" -- to interview with Katie Couric -- and Dave's been blasting McCain and running mate Sarah Palin on his show ever since.

Now it's been announced that McCain and Dave are making nice -- and will reunite on Thursday for McCain's 13th visit to the show.

Tell "Extra" -- Should John McCain appear on the "Late Show"?

I’m sure Dave understood that McCain would have to set a few things straight with liberal supporting Katie Couric.

I’m amazed that educated people don’t remember the quote “Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.” They’re forgetting, or never knew, where we came from and how we should avoid socialistic and communist politicians like the plague, or we won’t be living in the USA for long, it will be the United Socialist States of America (USSA)…hmmm that sounds familiar.

Well either way it is what it is and for me I am not voting for either one, I will not be responsible for putting either DumbA— in office! McCain turned his back on Vets, Obama cavorted w/terrorists, McCain did this and did that, Obama did this or did that. Neither one should be in office! But it is what it is! So we are screwed either way! One will get put in no matter what and neither one will go through with all thier promises just like past ones. God help us all

McCain postponed because he was working on his campaign for this country…unlike Obama who gets Oprah on his side so he has to do nothing..yet he’s spending 4-1 over McCain. Look at the facts…he cavorted with terrorists! His pastor hates America and white people! He has the same amount of experience as Palin…Biden even said he doesn’t agree with many of Obama’s stands…Open your eyes…if you think we are bad now..just wait! He want to give a 3000 take break to businesses creating jobs…yet who’s going to pay the wages? Look at the facts please!

Why bother? Letterman has made it clear where he stands. Everyone says that McCain s/b a stand up guy but what about Letterman. Why don’t the same rules apply to him? He’s blasted McCain and Palin from the beginning. Bias all the way. You want the guy to be a leader and be decisive and then you blast him for making a choice to go to DC and work toward financial resolution. He did what he felt was best——damned if you do: damned if you don’t…..and NO I am not voting for him. I don’t like him…I’m just calling it like I see it.

RE: ‘Yes he owes him out of being a decent civilized person. If you can’t handle a David Letterman interview how the H—- can you handle the Country! If you can’t take the heat get out of the want to be Presidents seat!’ One could ask obama the very same thing. Only, with him, it’s not a silly late night talk show that doesn’t matter. He gets his back up IMMEDIATELY, when asked a question, in the proper forum,no less, he feels uncomfortable with (and everyone, unbelievably, CATERS TO HIM!) HE’S the one w/ the ultra-thin skin - watcha tryin’ to hide, barack hussein??

John McCain turned his back on viet nam veterans, letterman should get the chance to ask him about that.

McCain owes him nothing. David Letterman has made it obvious who he is voting for before McCain didn’t show up. Why subject yourself to that and how David has been bad mouthing him.

I usually don’t watch his show although when channel surfing I may stop it on his show and watch a minute or two. Can’t stand his sense of humor!

I can’t wait to see McCain to show up on Letterman. He does owe him a visit due to the cancellation he did on him.

It will be fun to see what happens!

Why does David Letterman think he has such power? He’s a liberal from way back; I used to watch him but not anymore, with his loud mouth and smirking remarks… Even the stars are afraid to be on his show. I wouldn’t give him another thought. McCain has way too much class to be on Letterman, now Jay Leno, is another matter; he gives both sides a fair chance to express their views… Boycott Letterman show!! He thinks he’s some know it all, messiah unlike BHO..birds of a feather stick together…

John McCain has so much class, and has been through so much in his life, that I can’t imagine a little TV appearance filling him w/ any trepidation whatsoever. This is such small potatoes right now. Letterman might try to stir up some s@#t, but his pettiness must be vented at all costs, lest he keep an unexpressed thought, and explode.

I think McCain owes it to Letterman to at least make an appearance. But, I am disappointed that Letterman is going to have him on the show. Just feels like politics as ususal and I look for more from Letterman. I won’t watch,
