'DWTS': Rocco Stays, Misty Talks

Celeb chef Rocco DiSpirito came in last place during "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night competition show, but did not say goodbye during the elimination, because Misty May-Treanor left the competition due to injury.

Treanor is recuperating from surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon. Judge Len Goodman was sad to see someone with such potential leave the show, "I think Misty had the potential to get all the way through to the final."

Treanor posted on her blog:

"Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all of your support. I am resting back at home now after a successful surgery. I had both a good thing happen last week and a bad, but life is always full of surprises. The good thing that happened was my husband Matt came back to California after his surgery and his baseball season ended. We had seen each other less than 24 hours in over two months, so it is a relief to be reunited with him. The bad thing is obviously my dancing season cut short. It is sad that I wont be able to continue to show not only my fans but the rest of America my improvement out on the dance floor. This Monday would have marked the first time for Matt to watch me and Maksim dance live, I was so excited. We had worked so hard on the Jive and this might have been a breakthrough performance for me. Oh well, next time.

We don't know why things happen the way they do, but you must pick up the pieces and continue building the puzzle. Even though this has sidelined me from dancing for a while, I am relieved that this injury didn't affect team May/Walsh's chances at capturing that second gold. I just want to thank all of my fans for all of their continued support, my friends and family (EVERYONE I love you), the May-Niacs, the AVP, all of my sponsors, my management firm (the Wasserman Media Group), my doctor (Dr. Schobert), all the ABC family, my new friends and castmates from DWTS, Maksim, and of course my 4-legged babies (Boogie and Gruden).

This marks only the beginning of a new journey for everyone to follow me on. It marks the beginning but not the end. I plan on working my hardest to come back stronger than ever so that I may make a full recovery for both getting back on the court and on the dance floor. So everyone don't worry! From the words of Arnold... I'LL BE BACK!!!!"

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Misty.
You and Maks will be greatly missed.
Good luck with your dance routine on Monday, and on Tuesday’s results show Rocco and Karina. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Enjoy each and every minute of it as much as you both can.
Cloris. Please. This is supposed to be a “dance competiton”.
Not a “comedy act”.

Its nice to hear from Misty and to know that everything is going well. I’m so happy that no one got voted off last night. I don’t want Rocco to get voted off. He is so hot and sexy and he has a lot of potential. Cloris should be the one getting voted off first, not Rocco. She is not good at all and she is not funny anymore. I’m getting tired of her. She was funny the first week of the show but now its just getting old. Her performance was just a joke. It wasnt even dancing. At least Rocco was actually dancing. This is just turning into a popularity contest not a talent contest. Love you Misty!

The most important thing is that this injury did not cut Misty’s volleyball career short. And I am so thankful that her surgery went well. I was tearful as I watched Maks and Edyta perform Misty’s jive last night. Everything Edyta did, I imagined Misty doing; she would have brought the house down. It was sweet that they called the dance a tribute to Misty, and I hope Misty was watching from her hospital room. I really hope they give Misty a chance to compete again next season, if her injury allows. Her time on the show was short but sweet, and I would like to see her have another shot at the trophy.
