It’s reported that the Republicans shelled out a whopping $150,000 to give Sarah Palin a new wardrobe. The GOP defended the spending, saying that after the campaign, the clothing would be given to charity.

Did you want her to come out looking like Hillary in pants? She looks professional, classy and I agree, she should keep the clothes after the election. Maybe, even buy her more instead of paying for those golden parachutes.

Hey, why didn’t you tell us how much Obama spends on his camera makeup and designer suits etc to look good on campaign? Oh, no…it’s only wrong if Sarah Palin and John McCain spend money on their appearances. Obama and Biden and their wives get a pass on scrutiny into their expenditures. I am certain they are not buying their clothes at Loehmann’s. Your story tonight on EXTRA was so blatantly biased it was truly disgusting. I think she should keep those clothes. If Obama wins, we will all need help with our clothing allowance.

If she wore the normal outfits acceptable in Alaska, all of the news media would be all over how “out of touch” she was with her clothes! Get real; the American public is so driven by the news media and the expectations of “normal” looking people that the RNC had to dress Palin. Seems that the RNC would have lost to the media no matter if she dressed in her homegrown clothes or w/the new clothes. How much was spent on Obama’s Greek Columns? Obama, Biden, and McCain have wardrobes that meet DC requirements but if you add them up, they would be over Sarah’s 150,000. It just shows that Sarah is not your typical DC person. But, in order to make Americans accept her more, they had to change her wardrobe. Stop harassing her over the fact that she hasn’t spent her money trying to fit in!

first of all obama didnt take any money the government offered. he raised it all from the people giving donations. so u need to do more research allice and he hasnt spent near as much money as palin has on her stupid wardrobe. shes a joke. mccain is a joke. mccain says a middle class citizen is someone who makes under 5 million a year. most people dont make 5 million dollars in their lifetime. mccain and palin are completely out of touch with the working people. all of you republicans are BLIND.

I find it rather disturbing. The McCain campaign is utilizing public funds, is it not? Is this where the 150K in clothing etc came from? If so I don’t think it is right. Further they are complaining about their lack of funds… go figure. If I spent 150K on clothing I’d be short on funds too. Obama is campaigning on private funds. He is raising them privately if his supporters are happy with the way he is spending it then I think that is ok. If they aren’t then they shouldn’t be contributing. With public funds we are talking no choice in the contribution here so it should be used strictly for the campaign.
