First Lady hopeful Michelle Obama looked like a million bucks on the "Tonight Show" with Leno last night -- where the conversation centered on her wardrobe!

The late-night funnyman poked fun at the GOP clothes woes, telling Michelle, "I want to ask you about your wardrobe -- I'm guessing about sixty grand?"

Mrs. Obama told Leno that her outfit was from J.Crew -- and then, in a classy move, she defended Governor Palin against the flak she's received for her pricey threads after being named the GOP VP nominee. "It's like being shot out of a cannon... and all of a sudden you're at the center of attention and you want to look good." She added that she turns to the net to score deals on clothing, saying, "You can find some good stuff online."

Michelle's sunny yellow sweater, skirt and blouse ensemble cost approximately $441.

Of COURSE she only spent $441 on her clothing. Because, while everyone is whining about Sarah Palin spending $150,000 for a wardrobe (which is going to charity afterwards), her husband decides to use FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to go to Hawaii, and there was nothing left for her to spend!!!!!!!!Why is this not bothering anyone? Since when does it cost almost half a million to go to Hawaii? Is everyone ASLEEP, or WHAT?!?!?!

To get a job…post where you found out that Michelle Obama is a racist..I would love to read that. I think they both are. It is terrible to compare her to Jackie Kennedy. Has anyone ever watched an interview with Jackie or heard her speak. Elegance is the word for her. Stylish is another. Classy too. Michelle is NONE of these. Even Laura Bush has her beat..so does Barbara Bush, Nancy Regan. I could go on.

Obama have lots of style and i love how honesty she is i think she is a very real woman yes do think she is in the class of Jackie Kennedy do have some of her style i love her and her family her husband will be a great leader if the people give him a chance i think so. thank you karlene.

Won’t find any such ties to Senator McCain. I respect Mr. McCain for all he has done, and all he has been through. He reminds me of all our brothers and sisters over seas keeping our homeland safe. I think this whole thing about the media obsessing with Palin’s wardrobe is ridiculous. They media fails to mention every time that Mr. and Mrs. Obama are a bunch of liars. They failed to keep their promise to stick to what was considered “responsible fund raising.” Instead they chose to go well above and beyond and take whatever money they could… No wonder Michelle is trying to keep her wardrobe supposedly “modest.” It is because she is trying to hide the truth!

NO comparrison at all to Jackie Kennedy…NONE whatsover. Michelle’s style is much plainer than Jackie’s and she is not as classy. Jackie Kennedy was a class act period!!!!!
I hope she does not become our first lady. Google the name Huntley Brown. He is a black concert pianist. See what it says about why he will NOT support Obama. You will read an eyeful!

Apparently you have not read what was written about a week ago by a washington stylist. Michelle Obama paid big $$$ right before the campaign for a new wardrobe. Each of her outfits cost $1,500 and her husbands Marx suits cost $2000 of which he ordered 5 more. I agree that Leno comes across as biased. We watch him EVERY night and no jokes about Obama, Michelle, Biden…only on McCain and Palin. Don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see who he is for or his writer’s etc, for that matter.

Not only do you never ever hear media say anything bad about Barack Obama, but you’ll find Jay Leno with a monologue full of jokes about the opposition!
