Luxe Fashion: Belstaff's Good Work

The combination of a beautifully crafted garment and bold charitable work makes Luxaholics very pleased indeed. Belstaff, Italian makers of high-end outerwear, have partnered up with Not On Our Watch (NOOW), a foundation that supports lifesaving projects and spreads awareness about humanitarian efforts around the world. Jerry Weintraub, producer of the "Ocean's 11" franchise, and film stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and Matt Damon, have joined forces with Belstaff to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur, Sudan. At an August fundraising dinner during the Venice Film Festival, NOOW raised $2,000,000.

While Belstaff is striving to make the world a better place, it's also determined to make it more beautiful. The 84-year-old company has a long history of creating impeccably designed, fitted outerwear that is the obsessive fashion fave of many Hollywood celebs. George Clooney is known to own over 100 Belstaff jackets! Belstaff's leather coats have clothed countless movie characters; Christian Bale in "The Dark Knight," Angelina Jolie in "Wanted," Harrison Ford in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," Naomi Watts in "Eastern Promises," Will Smith in "I am Legend," and Johnny Depp in "Sweeney Todd," among others.
