Is Tina Fey Hurting the GOP?

According to Time magazine, some political experts believe that Tina Fey's spot-on impersonation of the GOP VP hopeful Sarah Palin has made the Alaska Guv a laughingstock -- and it's hurting the Republican campaign.

Tell "Extra" -- Do Tina Fey's "SNL" spoofs of Sarah Palin damage the ticket?

NEXT: Teen Queen Buys First Home

Yeah, she’s probably so happy that there are actually some near-sighted people who think she looks like Gov. Palin — AS IF!

Sarah Palin has done all the damage herself - Tina’s just taking advantage of an opening (and good for her!).

When obama chants ‘change’, I HATE it, because I KNOW what he means, and the effect it’s going to have on us,if he gets elected. When McCain uses the word, it DOESN’T BOTHER ME ONE BIT, because there’s no fear that I attach to it. He says it to illustrate the difference btwn what is now, and what will be;also to, hopefully, stop the other chant of ‘4 more years of bush’.

Sophie,

Have you not noticed? McCain is also using that “word” you hate so much.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, Anonymous. The real truth is that obama’s lies are WAY TOO scary to be even the least bit funny!

Tina Fey, SNL, the Colbert report, etc are all using comedy to point out the foolish facade of lies that cloak the political and cultural process. It’s not their fault that the Republican’s happen to have bigger ones and more of them then the Democrats do.

To think Hollywood doesn’t influence the minds of “average” Americans is naive. Let’s face it, Americans get dumber and dumber every day. Largely due to the crap they watch on TV, and try to emulate. Americans are told what to think, and if most of the office has an opinion on Tina Fey, everyone falls in line. The End.

Let me get this straight from another angle. Are there ACTUALLY STILL people in tv land, or lala land, who seriously believe that their opinions, skits, rants, intimidations,or endorsements would EVER sway an intelligent human with functional brains, as to the voting process??? Geez, I hope I don’t know any of these people, because I’m almost certain they’d hide that fact from me!!

Jon, you’re so right, and they’re by far, not the only ones not thrilled by us. Certain parties believe this is a dealable situation; one that can be corrected w/ peace, love, and understanding(sorry, elvis,I love you!)Those days are gone, put away the patched jeans, and stop singing ‘kumbaya’ - it’s over. We have to be FOREVER on our guard as a nation. It’s a fool’s game to believe someone’s going to walk into the White House, wave a wand, and end the war. If there are not serious, patriotic, unflinchingly loyal people in office, we are in BIG trouble. It’s a bitter pill, yes, but it’s true.

Spoofs are spoofs unless there’s a political agenda from SNL…wait…maybe there is! Duh…

This is not a Joke, the election is very real, and serious also. We all know that women rule the world, the ones who rock the Cradle, rules the World.
We need to wake-up and smell the coffee, we are being swallowed up by foreign countries, bit by bit.
The ex-President of Russia, Puttin, is the one we should be watching. Russia is not dead, it is just sleeping. Waiting to devour the U.S., when our guard is down.

It doesn’t hurt ANYTHING, much to the chagrin of the liberal mindset.Political humor doesn’t have any effect on clear-thinking individuals, especially when it’s just used for the purpose of being one-sided and hurtful. I know, from something that just happened today, however, that endorsements from certain people can ruin chances for someone. A group of us were watching the crazy clintons foaming at the mouth about Bush, McCain, etc, and how we’d better vote for obama for any positive ‘change’ (I’ve so come to abhor that word!). All the undecideds, almost in unison, said “That’s it!I’m voting for McCain now!” And we laughed and laughed!Better late than never, and whatever it takes to wake you up, right?
