Hollywood's Haute Shop for Designer Vintage

Since 2004, fashionistas have been flocking to L.A.'s The Way We Wore boutique on La Brea, specializing in the best of 20th Century women's vintage fashion -- from couture clothing to designer ready-to-wear, plus jewelry and accessories. Owner Doris Raymond has not only amassed a treasure trove of 100,000+ vintage pieces (some of which have been exhibited in museums), but a luxey list of designers and celeb clientele to boot, including Victoria Beckham, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie.

What's today's haute vintage look? The 1980s! Customers want Thierry Mugler suits with the 80's silhouette, 1930s bias cut dresses and '40s rayon print blouses. The store's biggest seller is the empire-waist babydoll dress -- so popular that Raymond can't keep them in stock. Watch for The Way We Wore's couture eye-candy to be featured in these upcoming films: "A Single Man," "Lovely Bones," "Frost/Nixon", "W," "The Curious Story of Benjamin Button," and "The Changeling."
