Goodbye Meat, Hello Healthy

"Extra" Lifechanger Dr. Neal Barnard says a vegan diet is the way to go. What the doc prescribes might shock you, but he says it worked for Ellen DeGeneres!

I try hard to be vegan/vegetarian becuase it is healthier and the factory farm thing is a total nightmare to me. I had to get curious and study it. It’s animal Dachau. I will keep trying until I get it right.

I was vegetarian for about 30 years and switched to vegan because dairy and eggs were making me sick. It’s not natural to eat these things, and as we get older our body can’t handle digesting them as well. I feel so much better now that I have been vegan for a few years. I have more energy, clearer skin, and I haven’t been sick since. :D

Thanks so much for having Dr. Neal Barnard speak about healthy vegan diets! It’s about time that big agribusiness stopped controlling all of our nutrition “information”.

Thank you for giving Dr. Bernard an opportunity to share, Oprah. Those of us who follow his guidelines along with other doctors who study and know REAL nutrition have greatly benefited. Most doctors receive minimal nutrition education in medical school so the doctors to be trusted for true health benefits must come from those who have gone the distance to learn the diet/nutrition/health/wellness connection. That animals get protection from organizations like PETA and IDA and AAVS and others who value and respect the medical information they receive from these doctors is wonderful.
Others who have lived the dirty side of life as Howard Lyman must be recognized and listened to. They speak the truth. Following a diet of organically farmed foods grown to nourish a human body is the best way to achieve an optimum level of wellness, hence an improved opportunity to avoid diseases like cancer and heart disease. It isn’t as simple as removing a decaying piece of flesh from one’s plate but it also isn’t difficult. Living a humane, cruelty free life helps the environment, the animals and us humans. It is win/win all the way around.

Going vegan has been the best lifestyle change I’ve ever made. I eat healthier, feel more energized, and don’t have to live with the cognitiver disconnect of loving animals while eating them! Thank you so much for binging Dr. Barnard to the show…he is such an inspiration!

THANK YOU to EXTRA for bringing animal issues to the table (or off as the case may be…) It is so important that the general public take an interest in what they are eating and WHERE IT COMES FROM. Watch Oprah on Tues. October 14th if you are interested in learning more! Thank you again for airing this report. Vegetarianism and Veganism are fantastic diets. Make sure to do some research, eat well and live happy. KUDOS!

I became vegan about 3 years ago and I feel great. The point I always tell people, however, is that you can be vegan and not eat properly. So it’s not just a matter of avoiding unhealthy animal products, it’s also nurishing your body with wholesome foods.

I’ve been a vegan for 25 years, I’m now 45. I still have my meat fix with veggie sausages and soya bacon strips. But the thought of eating the real thing just turns my stomach. Good luck to all those people thinking of becoming vegan, its one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. ps ignore the paranoid (PETA are going to take over the world) conspiracy theorist.

“Neal Barnard is an animal-rights nut. He’s part of the PETA leadership. He’s been the president of the PETA Foundation. He has co-signed letters with at least one animal-rights militant who’s in federal prison for terrorism. (Not making that up).”- greg

SO WHAT greg! After taking prescription meds for arthritis and later finding out the meds had great potential for heart attack, four years ago, I adopted a vegetarian diet. The arthritis is not cured, but the progression has been halted. I now manage the condition with safe supplementation. I am now just short of vegan—I eat a little milk product now and then.

The WMD (weapons of mass destruction) also known as Corporate America, for too long, has ramed their health-killing industry standards down our throats. It’s time we take back our health by refusing to support the greed mongers.

Now that we’ve heard from all the PCRM staffers who are sock-puppeting for their boss, here’s what you need to know.

Neal Barnard is an animal-rights nut. He’s part of the PETA leadership. He’s been the president of the PETA Foundation. He has co-signed letters with at least one animal-rights militant who’s in federal prison for terrorism. (Not making that up).

You want to feed yourself the PETA way? Go for it. But I’m not trusting this lunatic any farther than I can throw him. And judging from now malnourished he looks in person, I think he’d break a hip if I threw him more than 3 feet.
