Fey Takes On 'SNL' Debate -- as Palin

Tina Fey has done it again! The comedienne spoofed VP hopeful Sarah Palin again on "SNL" this week -- this time poking fun at last Thursday's vice-presidential debate with Senator Joe Biden.

Tina answered many of the moderator's questions (Gwen Ifill played by Queen Latifah) with the word "maverick" -- including a response to a question about the financial crisis by asking, "What would a maverick do?"

Sarah Palin isn't letting the Fey impressions get her down -- she says she is laughing with everyone else. She joked this morning on "Good Morning America," "I was just trying to keep Tina Fey in business."

Biden, played by funnyman Jason Sudeikis, constantly reiterated his positive feelings about John McCain. He ended his speech with, "My goal tonight was to not come across as a condescending, egomaniacal bully -- and I'm gonna' be honest. I think I nailed it."

For her closing arguments, Tina pulled out a flute -- and asked if the "talent portion" was still happening.

You know, if you can’t spell and are too lazy to use spellcheck, then you probably shouldn’t be responding to a comment board. It makes Obama supporters look stupid….oh right, point well taken……

I think Sarah Palin is good at being a Kindergarten teacher. VP? No way, what an embarassment and a joke?!!!

Doesn’t know about Supreme court? Doesn’t read any magazine and man, SCARY!!!

OBAMA and BIDEN are much relible and dependable to run our country.

SP:Hello can I call you Joe ?
JB:And can I call you Bimbo?

Some poster here talk kabout espect. Jo Biden never call her Sarah, he kept up his respect by calling her Governor Palin, whereas SP kept calling him, “There you go again Joe” as he was some Joe sixpack. The references imply that she was trying to deprecate the senator.

I havn’t seen any candidate as charlatany as Sarah Palin

Personally, I was raised that The President Of The United States was to be respected and looked up to no matter what the party…I haven’t watched Tina Fey, not because I’m “uptight” politically…I haven’t watched because everyone in my family feels that it’s disrespectful to mock and make fun of someone we should be admiring. There are positive things about the candidates, and I’ll make my decisions based on character previous experience, and who would best serve as the highest responsibility job in our country. I don’t know where respect and good judgement went in our society…..

CW WRIGHT: And there are black americans who think every single solitary issue, no matter what, is based solely on race. It’s become an embarrassing cliche. SOMETIMES, it’s NOT about race, but actual VALID REASONS! SOMETIMES, it’s about what type of person he or she is, or what associations he or she has, or what qualifications he or she lack. Nobody cares about his color, except the people who seem to just want an ‘african american’ president, no matter WHO else he is, or WHAT else he stands for. This is not a contest for “THE FIRST” of anything. It’s a VERY SERIOUS matter, regarding who will protect the U.S. better - based on THAT REALITY, NO ONE could seriously consider him - no matter WHAT color he is. Stop singing that tune; it’s increasingly more irrelevant, as time goes on.

Nice hatchet job by the liberal entertainment community but I would stop short of saying that mousey pock marked Tina looks like Palin.

Anonymous, I see you have nothing to say regarding my comments about the McCain/Paling ticket! All you can add is at least we have the “right to parody” in this country? There are white Americans that still are stuck in the past and are racist and bogits. It seems as if, regardless that Obama has the temperment to be President, you are focused on the fact that he is an African American……is it okay that his mother was white…..not, its because she married a “black man”? The McCain/Palin ticket is another example of the bigotry that exist in this country. Even though she is not qualified to be Vice President, the right based her credentials on being a “white woman” and somehow that makes her “qualified”….better than having an African American as President!

At least we live in a country where we have the option to parody politicians.

Anonymous, what all of you fail to realize is that every President and Vice Presidential candidates is “fair game” for parodies and any other “jokes” that arise from their campaign. No one is deliberately picking on Palin…..it’s just that she
is good at being a mother, a mayor and a governor, but a President or Vice President that believes she should have more power like Cheney? Come on guys, that is deginately “scary” because Cheney is the one that literaly convinced Bush to go into Iraq so that Osama Bin Laden could get away and they would have another chance, once the Republican got into office, they would have another opportunity to capure him down the road. What happened….. we lost over 4,000 lives in Iraq!!!!

I used to like Tina Fey but I don’t think her parodies are good natured. She gave herself away one day by commenting that she hoped she’d never have to play the part again after the elections. JD

Arcbishop Burke of the Vatican states the Democratic Party the Party of Death. Obama voted to NOT save babies who survive the abortion. Unborn have no choice.

i think it is very sad that the people of us down grades the president and many of the offices we should look up to them even when we don’t agree on things

Obama = Senator
Palin = Governor
Obama = For Top of the Ticket
Palin = For VP

7 Governors were Presidents (less than 2 years experience)
