Colin Powell Endorses Obama

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has won over the former Secretary of State Colin Powell -- and received the retired Army General's endorsement today.

"We need a president that will not just continue, even with a new face and some changes and with some maverick aspects, will not just continue basically the policies that we have been following in recent years," the 71-year-old announced this morning on "Meet the Press," as reported by the L.A. Times.

Colin -- who was President Bush's first Secretary of State and served in three GOP administrations total -- called the Illinois senator "a transformational figure."

Powell stated that while he felt both Obama and McCain are qualified to lead from the White House, Sarah Palin -- McCain's choice for VP -- is not. Colin also opined that Barack was better equipped to deal with the nation's financial crisis.

McCain responded to Powell's suggestion that Obama is ready to lead with an interview on "Fox News Sunday," stating that he and Powell "have a respectful disagreement" on the matter.

Yeah right… then when you are posting… don’t use the phrase black people are looking for a hand out from the government … that is not true. I work for a living I don’t look for a hand out from the government , you are anyone else.. By the way in case you didn’t know their are some White people on welfare to. How do you classify them. (HUH)?

MyOpinion. Isn’t everyone a racist whom does not like Barack Huesein Obama? So what exactly does that make the black people that are not voting for John McCain? Calling someone a “racist” is merely trying to dismiss them, discredit them, demean them, and attempt to instill guilt! I am none of these. Glass houses.

Well, if he likes to compare John McCain to George Bush so much, perhaps they should do more comparison between Barack Huesein Obama and his Reverent Wright? 20 years of listening to Wright preach hatred to whites, and suddenly he doesn’t want to be associated with him? How “convenient”.

Oh what a shocker!? NOT. Another black person supporting the black nominee? I have yet to see any higher figured black person side with McCain. This is “affirmative action” government style!! Another black worker wanting something for nothing.

Absolutely a disappointment from Colin Powell, I thought more of him than this….Obama needs on the job training, “We the People” may just become “We the Government”…..Socialism here we come….
