Colin Powell Endorses Obama

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has won over the former Secretary of State Colin Powell -- and received the retired Army General's endorsement today.
"We need a president that will not just continue, even with a new face and some changes and with some maverick aspects, will not just continue basically the policies that we have been following in recent years," the 71-year-old announced this morning on "Meet the Press," as reported by the L.A. Times.
Colin -- who was President Bush's first Secretary of State and served in three GOP administrations total -- called the Illinois senator "a transformational figure."
Powell stated that while he felt both Obama and McCain are qualified to lead from the White House, Sarah Palin -- McCain's choice for VP -- is not. Colin also opined that Barack was better equipped to deal with the nation's financial crisis.
McCain responded to Powell's suggestion that Obama is ready to lead with an interview on "Fox News Sunday," stating that he and Powell "have a respectful disagreement" on the matter.

Everybody needs to lighten up…if you look at the liberal news channels, Obama is winning, If you read the liberal papers, Obama is winning, BUT, if you talk to your friends and neighbors, you employers, your family, your soldiers, your Physicians, you know, the REAL people….McCain is who they say they are voting for. He is trusted and true and has what it takes to be Leader of our Country. Enough about Sarah Palin not having what it takes to be VP, what was it Joe Biden said yesterday about the world challenging Obama in the first 6 months if he is voted president??? Where did that come from? Did you hear about that on a liberal TV news report…nope, I didn’t think so….. And how is it that Ayers mentions Obama by name in the same sentence with Louis F. in his book? If I wrote a book, I doubt I’d put “Just some guy in my neighborhood’s” name in it unless I was pretty darn close to that fellow….Where is your common sense, my red flags are waving all over the place where Obama is concerned. Let’s not worry about it too much…McCain will more than likely come out on top because the majority are just not talking about who they are gonna vote for. You can’t go by the polls, the liberal media is simply reporting what they want you to think is going on in hopes that you will “Go with the flow” and vote for Obama….There are alot of us out here in the “Real World” who are definately voting for John McCain….Oh, and by the way, did any of you see the videos from the ACORN events where the women are speaking and saying that “They At ACORN” will help Obama win the presidency? Not biased? Get real….
