Beauty Queen Dine-and-Dash!

1021evans.jpg

Lindsey Evans is the quintessential beauty queen gone bad! The reigning Miss Teen Louisiana was caught trying to skip out on a dinner tab! Evans is pictured here in her mugshot.

A Bossier City police report says Evans and her pals ditched their $46 bill at Posados Café in Bossier City, LA -- only to later realize that the 18-year-old pageant winner left her purse behind. Police spokesman Mark Natale told the paper that the handbag included Lindsey's identification and a bag of marijuana, helping cops to bust her.

When Evans returned to get her purse, officers recognized her from her I.D. and she was arrested, along with her pals. Fellow diner Jennifer Martin, 22, said Lindsey left cash for her portion of the bill -- and blamed the remainder of the missing money on their restaurant service, telling the NY Post, "The service was so slow, we just said, 'screw it' and left."

The police report also states Lindsey was booked on charges of theft and possession of marijuana.

A pageant spokesperson has released the following statement: "Lindsey Evans has been part of an organization that believes in opportunities when earned and consequences when warranted.

"Due to recent circumstances, Lindsey has been relieved of her duties as Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2008 effective immediately. RPM Productions, Inc. wishes Lindsey success in her future endeavors."

She looked really skinny in her pageant getup. She looks happier, and her face is chubbier in her mug shot. Wonder if that comes from satisfying the munchies on kind of a regular basis.

First of all, it’s GG not CG. And second of all if, you researched this story a little bit more you would know that HER FRIENDS made the statement that she paid for her part of the bill. In the actual police report, LINDSEY STATED that she skipped on the bill and left no money at all. AND… she applied for this job as Miss LA Teen USA and signed a contract stating that she wouldn’t be apart of any criminal activity and that she would set a positive example as a role model for her state. She broke the contract, she lost her crown… that’s how it works. She chose to run for Miss LA Teen USA, and she chose to break her contract. I too hope that this will be a learning experience for her… at least a common sense lesson, but this outcome was the right decision of the production company.

Did anyone else catch the clueless “correction” that the Extra reporter made at the end of the TV bit? Asked a prying question, the teen queen said “MYOB.” The snarky reporter corrected her, twice (once with a poster-size visual) — telling her she should say “NOYB” for None Of Your Business.” Well duh, hasn’t Extra heard of the decades-old, commonly-used expression “MYOB?” For “Mind Your Own Business?” Nothing like displaying your ignorance! I was surprised the show’s editors didn’t catch this one….

I m NOT dumb,I just happen to live in the REAL WORLD! Maybe I dont know about the pageant business,CG,but I do know about teens, and I know what I’m talking about. I am aware the ‘officials’ have stripped this young woman of her crown. How sad. For the record, she said she did not steal, she said she left a $20 for her part of the meal.As for the pot in her purse-who gave these people permission to go into her purse in the first place? It’s all for nothing now anyways. She is a beautiful young woman, and I’m sure these insults will not get to her. These pageant officials can strip the crown from her,but who among them can say that they haven’t done something in their lifetime that wouldn’t have set a good example for the teens of America?Either of you self rightous posters?

Peggy (poster),
How dumb are you? Or course she needs to be stripped of her crown! You may not be a part of the pageant industry, but those of us who are, understand and know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable. AND they aren’t trying to teach teens across the nation to do the right thing… that was Lindsey’s job. They are simply making a point that this “Tara Conner” behavior was accepted once an ONLY once. No more second chances. When a girl wins the crown (stripping that experience from someone who may have done the job better) then she needs to do it to the best of her abilities and follow through to the very end… not wait until after nationals and then let the partying begin. Girls like this make me sick in the industry. If she wants to steal and smoke weed, fine. Just don’t make a mockery of the MUO.

Thats so ridiculous… I’ve been in the service industry for quite a while now to get myself through college. People tend to treat their servers like a servant and disrespect them in every way. There are a million reasons why her service could of been slow…. slow kitchen, short staffed, new server, new menu or one of many many reasons. I believe EVERy person should be a server at least once in their life to experience what it’s like. A lot of the time the bad service is not directly the servers fault and when people skip out they not only don’t get paid sometimes they have to pay the bill themselves. I say they make this “beauty queen” do some community service and make her serve in a busy understaffed restaurant and see what its like.

I agree with stripping her of her crown. She is suppose to be an example to yhe youth of this country and she is running out on a tab, it doesn’t matter wether the service was horrid. It was to be paid and what person in there right mind ( female) would leave her purse.

Oh,Please,Anonymous from Lousiana.Give me a break! A little pot never hurt anyone! So the girl smoked a little pot as a teenager.Big freakin Woo! What,as if 0.001% of the teenagers in the world dont!! Role model for our teenagers? Please! Have you seen ANY of the crap on television aimed at teens now? Get a clue!
The girl has 1 MONTH left.Leave her the *#@ alone! Leave her alone and let her live her life like so many other people who have smoked a joint or two in their lives you see in the public eye but the media just haven’t pointed it out to you to complain about. What good will it do to strip her of the crown? I mean really-what will that really accomplish? Will that really send a message for people to not smoke a joint, and if they do,they will lose their crown, too? Come on.That is so stupid. Just let her live the rest of her life.Live YOUR life and worry about YOUR life. You’ll do well to take care of that.

They “don’t know whether to strip her of her crown or not??” That is the reason people all across our country laugh at our state, and how it stands for IGNORANCE at every level. There is no decision. Of course she needs to be stripped, and IMMEDIATELY. Do we want a pot pusher and possessor to be the role model for our teens? Come on, wake up, Lousiana………
