Streisand: McCain Choosing Palin is 'Desperate and Irresponsible'

0909babsmccain.jpg

Political activist Barbra Streisand took to the Internet with some fervent political activism -- and Funny Girl is not amused by John McCain's veep choice of Sarah Palin!

The outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter ranted in her blog about McCain picking Palin as his running mate, calling the choice "desperate and irresponsible." Babs also accused the GOP nominee of pandering to women who may go for the ticket simply because Sarah "has two X chromosomes."

Streisand, who threw her support to Obama when he landed the nomination -- will be hosting a $28K per plate benefit for him in Beverly Hills.

NEXT: Did Babs Play Fair with John McCain?

I am amazed that Babs believes that the American public votes her choice because of her activism—wow—where is that audience? Time to think for yourselves people!

Thanks Barbra…I’m sure your
hatefilled remarks have done a
great deal to help the McCain-
Palin ticket.
You and the far left press make
a great team.

Obarbra Criesand is such a joke. My god she talks about two XX chromosomes look at her face. Shes a dude herself. And as for Obama. Give me a break, he couldnt change a wet diaper. Not because he’s “African American” it’s just because he’s a typical Democratic piece of feces!

I totally agree with you Ms streisand. I am a viet Nam Veteran, and I can ID post traumatic stress disease (PTSD), and his choice tells me that McCain has PTSD, compounded by alzheimers. Check out his outburst on the senate floor. I give him praise for his service to our country, but he could be dangerous as president. Further, PTSD patients are unemployable by rule of the VA.

I totally agree with Barbra. McCain really blew it when he picked this woman just to try and get the Hillary voters. Do the Republicans think women are that stupid?
McCain had so many good choices and took the low road. This woman is govenor of a state that has 670,000 people. The county that I live in has twice that many people. Wake up people…this is much to serious to just give this woman the presidency. If McCain were to die this nobody would be our gun toting president. Yee-Haw!

Babs should invite Jane Fonda to help her host her fund raiser for Hussain, then after President McCain and VP Palin win this election, she should go back in hiding for good.

This hasbeen promised to move out of the USA after the last election. Just another lie and broken promise. Why doesn’t she put her mouth to use and donate some of her millions to the people and charities in need?

The only good thing that would come from Obama getting elected is that all these cry baby democrats like Streisand would finally shut up.

I THINK THAT IT IS SO SAD THAT IN 2008,THAT SO MANY SMALL MINDED PEOPLE WOULD RATHER VOTE FOR THE WRONG CANIDATE BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN.I THINK THAT BARACK OBAMA IS THE BEST MAN TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY,MANY AMERICANS WHO HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE FACT THAT HE’S AN AFRICAN AMERICAN NEEDS TO LOOK BACK OVER THE LAST EIGHT YEARS AND SEE WHAT LIES AHEAD IF MC CAIN IS ELECTED, IT’S NOT A PRETTY PICTURE.

I agree with Barbra totally! It’s about time someone came out and spoke the truth about Sarah Palin. This campain has been so one sided that most people don’t even know what the truth is about any candidate. They need to be more open or drop out! We have a right to know what the facts are!

Did Barbara make her comments before or after cocktail hour? Sorry, but I don’t give any credence to statements made by drunks or drug addicts.

never cared for Streisand ..
now i did like the movie she played in a Star is born thats it…but her personally i dont like her…all i can say is NOBAMA!!!! 143 Days

You couldn’t get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn’t become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn’t get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn’t join the military and become a second lieutenant after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn’t get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor or editor after 143 days of experience.

BUT….

‘From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United States Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World …. 143 days.

Most voters have logged more than 143 days on the toliet!

But, strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with his limited experience and campaigning for him. We wouldn’t accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America ? Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol!

When did we start listening to actors, singers, entertainers as to who should run our Country. You are more than welcome to your opinions but please do not misuse your fame. Talk about people who do not know what the “real world” is about - you think Babs is worrying about losing any of her houses due to the market?

Sarah Palin is is bending the truth. She is inexperienced. Get serious…would you really trust her to be president? How much worse must the economy get before people wake up. This election is not about Palin . It is about gas, jobs, mortgages, poverty, suffering. Do you think that the McCain’s feel our pain when Mrs McCain wears 300,000 worth of clothing at the Republican convention….This “Karl Rove” tactic of diverting attention from REAL issues cannot be allowed to sucker the American people once again. When will we learn???
Bridge to Nowhere….how about the ticket to nowhere?
