Palin: The Substance of Style

0917palin.jpg

Sarah Palin is more than just a self-proclaimed pit bull in lipstick -- she's a veritable fashionista, with an alleged stylist team to boot!

The VP hopeful reportedly has a secret team of fashion gurus who dress her for events -- and the stylists aren't afraid to splurge! For her RNC speech to accept the nomination, she donned a $2,500 Valentino jacket!

The GOP camp is allegedly trying to keep the reported stylist team hush-hush. "They do not want the American public to know that Palin is using stylists or that she is paying for expensive clothes this early on in the campaign," a source tells the NY Post.

Cindy McCain received intense media flack after Vanity Fair broke down her RNC outfit -- and priced it at a whopping $300K ($240K of which was for her 3-karat diamond earrings)! A Valentino rep confirmed to the Post that Palin wore his design to the RNC, but stated the Alaska governor didn't buy it from a Valentino store.

"I don't think it's such a good idea to change horses in mid-stream and go from Wal-mart to Valentino!" People's Revolution's Kelly Cotour tells "Extra." The stylist also dished that she thought Palin wearing Valentino's jacket could backfire on the designer. "I think Valentino's going to lose a huge client base for even offering to dress her."

Your commentary was way too biased- typical media lambasting the Republcans while propping up the Democrats. Shame on you Extra.. I will make a point of not watching your show.

The Obama campaign religiously hides details such as wardrobe costs to prevent the kind of comments Palin’s wardrobe costs have created. These are the costs of campaigning on both sides. Weeks ago women were drooling over what Michelle wore that day and others wanted Palin style eyglasses. Looks and wardrobe are swaying voters.

seems to be a lot of people, especially women that are jealous or just can’t handle a woman being beautiful, smart, knows what she wants, has a family and yet she is tough enough to take on the usa. go sarah and put that lipstick on .

There’s a big difference between what stars spend on wardrobes and what politicians spend. The stars spend their own. The politicians spend ours! You can be sure Sarah Palin isn’t buying her own!

Extra how superficial your show is. How appropriate your show is for all of Hollywoods best to look at themselves after all they are the only one that counts. You all are losing this election for Obama with your holy than thou attends. Keep seperating yourselves from the rest of the real world and we will see McCain/Palin in the whitehouse, because Hollywood is not the majority of people in America oh thats right you all do your work outside of America except for a few

Conservative Christians are often accused by liberals of being intolerant. Kelly Cotour exudes intolerance by saying that designers should lose business for dressing someone whose politics don’t match hers. Democrats are all about tolerance unless you happen to believe something other than what they preach. How offensive!!

Here is the quote:
“I don’t think it’s such a good idea to change horses in mid-stream and go from Wal-mart to Valentino!” People’s Revolution’s Kelly Cotour tells “Extra.” The stylist also dished that she thought Palin wearing Valentino’s jacket could backfire on the designer. “I think Valentino’s going to lose a huge client base for even offering to dress her.”

I want to live in Ms.Cotour’s happy world….
If you can’t say anything nice…

Extra had some idiot lady on today saying that Valentino may been boycottted for dressing Palin. Does that mean I can finally boycott Babs for supporting Obama? Or is this still America where we are free to dress anyone, support anyone,or think anything we wish. If this is the message of the liberal “change”, no thank you. Check out how much Obama’s jackets are (or dinner plates),or how about Hilary’s wardrobe?
Wake up lady!!

Well, when I heard from your reporter on the Obama night with Barbra Streisand I was not surprised at the comment that there were “regular people” attending the $28K a plate dinner! Are you frickin kidding me? Your bias is so outrageous towards Obama I almost threw up! What “regular person” would have $28K (for one person) to attend a dinner. If I had that kind of money, I sure as heck wouldn’t be attending any dinner! You people make me sick of how dishonest your reporting is! I will NEVER watch your show again, not ever and will make sure everyone I know knows how corrupt you are!

Obviously Extra can’t portray the truth when covering Republicans. They create a controversy with fashion? Many Extra members had lobotomies to remove those reasoned thoughts. And the career members are one’s who if they were any smarter I could water them.

Extra TV is so Pro-Obama/Biden and so Anti-McCain/Palin? This family show is so terribly biased left to the Democratic Party it can’t stand up straight. You don’t want to discuss issues, votes, records, experience? Because you don’t know them! So you create controversy with Gov. Sarah Palin’s new wardrobe attire will scare American vote’s away? The American People won’t like this new expensive fashion statement? Well Hartmarx Chicago based high end designer, dressed Obama for the evening in a $1,500 custom tailored suit. Better check Obama’s wife she made Vanity Fair’s best dressed list!

Shame on you Extra. Why would you only show one inflammatory and elitist comment? Way to demonstrate your bias. Republicans aren’t allowed to wear nice clothes? Should David’s Bridal designed Jenna Bush’s wedding gown instead of Oscar de la Renta because only democrats are allowed to wear nice clothes without a backlash from liberal narcissists? Also, who said she shopped at Walmart before? Ridiculous.

I am also sick of your show being so nice to democrats and mean to republicans. Don’t you know that half the country right now supports John McCain and Sarah Palin?

Shame on you Extra!!!!!

What a hoot. Barack Obama buys Burberry suits at Barney’s and you are saying that Sarah Palin spends too much on a jacket. I am just disgusted at the biased media who thinks they are in charge of who should be elected President. Your excessive coverage of Barack Obama proves he is just another over-the-top celebrity…and you people have no shame.

If Extra is saying the Fund Raiser for Obama, reported on Extra Wed. evening, was not a celebrity gathering why was Extra reporting it.

I think it’s absolutely hilarious that the focus is on the cost of Sarah Palin’s wardrobe and not on the cost of the wardrobe’s of other stars like Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, etc. Also, it’s funny that no one is commenting on the price of Obama’s wardrobe or his wife. What about the 28,ooo a plate Barbara Streisand concert for Obama? Give me a break…how about focusing on more news-worthy stories…oh I forgot this isn’t really a news worthy show.

I’m tired of your show being so supportive of the democrats and not the republicans. You’re “on air” piece even had some chick from the Deal or No Deal show (that no one even knows or cares about) comment on Obhama’s star fund raiser. The we cut to some ditzy designer that is bashing Palin’s wardrobe. Can’t you just report the news and not be so one sided with your comments?
