Palin Blasts Media in RNC Address

0904palin.jpg

Gov. Sarah Palin addressed the RNC last night -- and the self-proclaimed hockey mom came out swinging! Palin discussed her small town upbringing, while blasting the media for focusing their attention on her 17-year-old daughter Bristol's pregnancy.

"If you're not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone," Palin stated. "Here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators -- I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country."

The Alaska governor also slammed Obama's criticisms that she wasn't experienced enough to lead -- while taking a swipe at Barack's past as a community organizer. "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities." Sarah also jabbed at Obama's "change" theme while praising running mate McCain, saying, "In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers, and then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change."

GOP nominee John McCain is scheduled to address the Republican convention tonight.

I still can’t figure out why people like Obama. What exactly is he going to change? I’m still waiting to hear the details to his policies. Honestly, he sounds great when he’s reading a speach. Take away that teleprompter and he’s a mess! I’m not sure I’m comfortable with someone who needs to check with his advisers for a few days before addressing a question.

Michelle Obama, our first lady, sounds great to me! GO OBAMA!!! GO OBAMA!!! GO OBAMA!!!

You Mr. Obama are the change we need.

As a women I want to keep my rights.
McCain/Palin they are against row vs wade. They want it to be reversed, scary, what about women who have been raped, or incest? Women’s rights are at risk should McCain/Palin take office.

w cruce, That’s because Obama is over your head. He is quite intelligent. But it is good to know you are trying to grow yourself to his level. Keep it up you will learn why he is so inspiring, and why he will make a great leader of our country.

see: simply noticed that she has more in common with the GOOD OLD BOYS CLUB, then she does with any moms that I know.

And for the record I am from Alaska, so I do know how people live there, and I can assure you it is rugged, but the women there enjoy the finer things as well. We have a many upscale stores. All the touches of the big city. So if you ever visited there you would see it is not all about moose, snow, and mountains. Come visit you love it.

I’ve seen more than a few posts stating that Palin won’t be able to fulfill pres. duties if ‘something happens to McCain’. It’s said so much, it almost reads like a death wish (I realize it’s not; it’s just a rampant thought on some sites). Because obama is younger, does not necessarily mean he will outlive McCain.Just like in the same way obama chants ‘change’, doesn’t mean it’s goona happen. Death is, at its best, a random thing. Plus, those folks might be out of luck; longevity may well run in McCain’s family - his mom is 96!!! So, you never know…

That is part of living in ALASKA. I guess you’ve never been there, but it’s very down to earth, and rustic, and close-knit, and people enjoy life in a different way. They also live off the land, and, you know what? There’s SNOW there, and they snowmobile. Just like people around here sometimes like to do, after plunking down heavy coin to go to Vermont, or upstate NY, or Colorado, to do the same.

Palin, is PART of the” Good OL’ Boys” club… snowmobilng, hunting, shooting moose… she is no where close to any typical mom I know. It’s cool that she can be apart of the,” Good Ol’Boys Club” though…. but don’t pretend to be like other momther’s is all I am saying. She’s not fulling this American MOM!

Palin’s display at the RNC was just that, a display - not REAL politics. She talked more about personal matters than anyone else has - How does that qualify her as VP candidate? That’s the Republican way, when you’re scared you lash out at the other side, Obama & Biden are confident and don’t need those tactics. America does need a leader and leaders are great because of the following they command, that’s the Obama ticket - straight forward & no accusations. It looked like a Broadway show with the theme song of “Just Raising McCain” & Drill Baby Drill - These are serious times - I personally can’t afford to be a Republican. Go Obama - All the way.

I’m guessing, then, that you didn’t hear obama’s speech, during which he ‘attacked’ McCain for like the first 20 minutes. Hear, AND listen - you’ll be surprised. Anyone, by the way, can just keep chanting, “change, change, change..”, getting all people (well, some people) fired up, while, in fact, not anwering one question in a straighforward way. Smoke and mirrors…

All I heard was attacks on Obama, will Obama attack lower gas prices? no. will Obama attack help the ecomomy with jobs lower inflation, help with health care and all of the other ills that effect Amercian daily life? No. so don’t be fool by wolves wearing sheep clothing bearing change gifts. McCain/Palin the same old thing. No change, no solution just attacks. America don’t be fool again, I really don’t think we can afforded it. Was on the fence about Obama now I know I only have one choice if I want to work and feed my family. Have you heard despite ecomomy trouble the rich is getting richer and middle class is losing. Wake up, this is scary stuff

In case you don’t follow politics the, Vice presidential candidate doesn’t debate the presidential candidate. Palin will be up against Biden- that’s the experience comparison you need to make.

I love her. She is:

intelligent
smart
informative
common sense
experienced in government
wants to get the ball running for oil and gas, etc.

Cannot wait for a debate with Obama. She will kick butt.

Even though she and McCain are republicans they are different people than Bush and Cheney. And they are what this country needs.

So what kind of foreign experences Obama has? He has expereinces because he toured around the world and gave big speeches? Why he had to pick Joe Biden who is expereinced on foreign affairs? So please don’t bring this up cause Obama has no more experences than Palin does!Maybe John McCain had policital purpose to pick Palin, but Obama didn’t make any moves with political purposes? He IS a big politician. He is a big flip-flop on many issues because he doesn’t know what he really stands for, expect brain washing people with the word “Change”. I’m so tired of them making people chanting “Change”, like some cult slogan. I’m not even a republican and I don’t agree everything the Republicans say but I certainly don’t need someone who only spent few years in his political life and trys to manage the whole country. This is a BIG job. He needs to earn the job, not “talks” about the job. We don’t need gamble on the most important figure in the U.S.A..

How can one speech sway someone to take an opposing viewpoint from Obama? His policies are completely the opposite. She is pro life, has no foreign policy experience, is even more conservative than McCain who is blatantly using someone he only met once as a tactic to draw Hillary’s voters towards the Republican ticket. Please, do not fall for this. Four more years of Republicanism will be catastophic for this country and the world, and I’m not being overdramtic.
