McCain & Obama Reunite for 9/11

Presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama have been taking swipes at each other on the campaign trail -- but have decided to put politics aside to come together on the seventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

The GOP and Dem nominees released a statement today, saying that they will visit Ground Zero "to honor the memory of each and every American who died" in the NYC attacks.

According to AP, both of the senators' camps have agreed to not air negative campaign advertisements on 9/11, in honor of the joint appearance at the World Trade Center site.

I think this was very nice for the people there and good for both of them as in votes. It really made me happy.

I just wanted to say I would like everybody who reads this to please have a moment of silence to remember 9/11/01.

I agree. Their opinions mean even less than ours do,(at most, they only mean as much, but never more) because they truly live in a fantasy world, and will probably never have the same amount of concern or fear for their futures as regular folks do all the time. I don’t watch any of the award shows anymore, thanks to them, because it’s only a matter of time before one or more of them use the show to air their opinions, or give a dig or insult. I don’t want to hear that stuff when I’m trying to be entertained. Don’t they realize that THAT’S the only reason they’re around, is for our amusement???

I am sick of celebrities being political. I think just because people look up celebrities they need to keep their 2 cents they know how to ruined the 25th anniversary VMAs by being political. Come on people people want to enjoy not hering about who the celebrities want American people to vote for. Everyone has the right to vote but I think celebrities are being political and I feel they need to stay out of it and let the American people make their own disions about who they want for their next presdent. Just because u all celebrities are rich need to stay out of people lives and stop telling them who to vote for.
