Lucy & Desi's Long Lost Grandchild?

0902ball.jpg

They continue to charm worldwide audiences in "I Love Lucy" reruns -- now a woman is claiming Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz hid a love child that would have ruined their public image!

According to the NY Post, Cassandria Lucianna Carlson, 38, believes she's the granddaughter of the comedy duo -- and that her mother was put up for adoption before "I Love Lucy" aired -- reportedly to prevent ruining Ball's plans for stardom.

While no DNA test has been conducted to examine Carlson's lineage claims, she insists she has evidence to support them -- including a memory of being visited by Lucille herself!

Desi Jr. and Lucie Arnaz, the couple's two children, did not respond to the Post's request for comment.

Everyone,

By legal advice, my mother and our family will not entertain this sort of banter, nor does she respect that any comparisons are being made against “probable” family relations. Under no circumstance, will banter with and/or against anyone who is either in our family or in alleged persons of our family be tolerated. Our time is much more valuable than scanning the blogs. My mother did an interview on a top radio station this morning and we will have this posted on myspace soon.

The alleged cousins, have nothing to do with my grandmother’s search or my alleged great grandmother’s relationship with her daughter or my mom.

As far as alleged uncle/cousin relationship is concerned which is flowing all over the Internet, my mother has no comment and can only speculate on that aspect of the recent story published on 9/2/08. We continue to state that her mother and my grandmother’s story have no relevance to the father/daughter story nor should it be suspect in any fashion.

Thank you for your time and respectful understanding. Our camp refuses to rebel rouse, as it is terribly unprofessional, we are far above that and will not entertain such behavior. The persons in my mother’s camp will not entertain an/or banter idle gossip and freedom of speech.

With much respect,

Christopher

Hi all and to my Julie bug,

I have been friends with Julia for 30 years, yes 30 proud years! My dearest, sweetest friend in the world! And all I know is, her dream and prayers all of her life were to know her father, love him, and have a beautiful relationship with him..Well her dream and prayers have come true! Desi is a wonderful man who has always been there for Julie and loves her! Yes many times Julia was on a rough road, but Desi and his wife Amy were always there to help!! They never left her!(I saw this for my self!) Well today Julie is more and more beautiful everyday that goes by..inward and out! The most loving person I’ve ever met! I say all this to say..Enjoy your beautiful family Julie, your precious father who you love so much, and your sweet stepmother Amy..and enjoy life growing together with them! Don’t let any people, media or false accusations divide you and your family..I know you won’t! This has nothing to do with you or your father. To all of you who have spoke nice things about Julie, thank you, You are sweet! God bless Families, they are a gift from heaven!

why is someone using the arnazs name without proof.whos chris? this woman looks nothing like the family, not like the other grandchildren.I saw the oldest secret granddaughter on tv back in the 90s, now there is no denying that she is part of her famous family. all this just dose not add up,I feel sorry for the real family, things could have been done with a little more classe.

Who cares? What does she want? She has a family, she has a husband and kids, move on!

I call on Lucie and Desi JR to do a DNA test only so they can prove this woman wrong so she will go away. They should have an agreement before though so when the tests come back negative she has to go away forever. She probably wouldn’t even believe a negative DNA test. Some people are just pathetic. She wouldn’t be working this hard if she thought her bio grandparents lived in a trailer park in the Ozarks. It’s strange that not one other person, no family member, employee, friend, etc, has EVER mentioned a word of this in 60 years. With all the rag sheets out there, you’d think someone would have hinted about this at some point, even if they were just trying to make a buck. Can’t wait to see what the “credible information” is!

My name is Julia Arnaz,Im Desi jr proud daughter:)I come a very long way to get were I emotionally and to thred my self back into my family were I have always longed to be. This story has nothing to do w/ me…I did my DNA in 1990, myself and my darling father,I had to do this w/ no ones help but my own,and did 99.93 percent that I am indeed Lucille Ball and Desi Arnazs very first grandaughter, I am not going through the whole DNA thing agian, my choice..Im sorry. My father Desi is wonderful to his only grandaughter, and he has always been good to me, no family is perfect…truly Julia Arnaz..

I call on Lucie and Desi Jr. to take a DNA test so they can prove this woman is totally mistaken. Of course, there would have to be an agreement that when the test comes back negative, she has to go away and never be heard from again. Good riddance.

I think a DNA test is definately in order to prove either way. Why didn’t she step forward when both of them were a live; why wait till now. I’ve been a fan of both of them and their show. It seems when the famous are gone; gold diggers just come out of the wood work. Then that would mean I too am related to anyone of the rich and wealthy lol I wish hehe :)

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Why would they cover this up. There’s no way she’s related to Lucy. If they wanted to hide children, they wouldn’t have had Lucie before the show and Desi Jr. during it! The pics look nothing like Lucy or Desi. Why didn’t the truth come out before now, ESPECIALLY after they divorced? The show ended years ago and Neither one wrote about it in their books. If it was Desi’s child, I can’t imagine he wouldn’t have provided for her when he died. These people are just gold diggers that are trying to get a piece of their empire.

It is my understanding that Lucy and Desi were attempting to start a family for some time prior to the t.v. series in hopes of salvaging their marriage as it was suffering from Desi’s touring the country with his Latin band and Lucy’s movie contract in California. According to biographies on Lucy, she even miscarried. Desi’s mother advised them to remarry in a Catholic church thereby receiving God’s blessing and soon after she successfuly conceived and gave birth to Lucie Arnaz; the claim of adopting out a poorly-timed baby which would interfere with her career is inconsistent with what has been written biographically. Conversely, also written about her biographically is that her first love was her career and the majority of her attention was not directed to her children. Upon her death I remember an interview with Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill when asked to comment on this subject (Lucy’s mothering) and she simply stated that “No family is normal…there is no such thing as a normal family.”

All,

I don’t expect anyone to understand the facts surrounding how this story came to par, there’s so much that the public does not know and soon we hope your questions will be answered. We do have a lot of information that a reputable private investigator has verified and has found as credible.

Take a look at her profile www.myspace.com/cassandriac there you will see more photos of the family.

Your comments are noted and appreciated.

I agree with others who wonder how a child of a married couple could ruin anyone’s career. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was in fact Desi Arnaz’ grandchild, but I doubt she is Lucy’s. As for Lucy visiting her as a child… well, Ms. Ball was on television in reruns several hours per day, I’m sure she would have been recognized.

I agree with Kristen, god only knows who this woman is related to. I mean anybody can say anything. For all i know i could be the long lost grandchild of Marylin Monroe. Mostly likely not, lol, but it is just that easy to say things. Without a DNA testing NOTHING is TRUE or FALSE. So this woman can’t just make this crap up to make a statement.

This makes no sense. First of all, a “love child” is not the child of a married couple, it’s the child of an affair or an unmarried couple. Second, How could a child born to a married couple ruin a career? When Lucy really reached stardom on TV, she had finally given birth to her first child, Lucie, and when Desi, Jr., was born, she reached new heights of fame when Little Ricky also arrived on their #1 show. I wouldn’t say either of those babies ruined anyone’s career. Besides, how does a Hollywood actress do something like hide a pregnancy? Did she disappear for six months or something? Her entire life from the early 1930’s on is an open book that’s been documented on film and in print. I read that all her old news clippings, magazines and photos are at the Library of Congress, Ms. Carlson should go read all about it. I hope the real children give her the DNA test so she goes away — after publicly apologizing! Shame on her is right.

I’m so upset about this! I have been a fan since I can remember! I’m outraged that this woman thinks she can make such a statement without any proof! I Don’t believe it and I wont let this tarnish Lucille’s wonderful name!
