'Lipstick on a Pig': OId Saying or Palin Poke?

0910obamapalin.jpg

Barack Obama appeared at a Virginia rally yesterday, comparing John McCain and Sarah Palin's promise of change as putting "lipstick on a pig." The GOP camp retaliated by accusing Obama of sexism -- saying the pig reference was a jab at Sarah, who likened herself to a "pit bull with lipstick."

Obama's camp roundly denied the claims, insisting "lipstick on a pig" is a well-known saying, and accused McCain of "lies and phony outrage" and "swift-boat politics," adding that the "made-up controversy" was "catnip for the news media."

Tell "Extra" -- Did Barack Obama call Palin a pig?

NEXT: A New Chapter for Lohan

To all of you that commented on Obama saying he knew what he was saying, your’e right, look at the whole clip he was referring to the gop policies, now look at what McCain said, he mentions Hilary Clinton as the pig with lipstick, says her name in plain sight. Get with the real issues. youare realy ignorent if you can’t see the real reason for McCain picking Palen as his running mate. It has nothing to do with experience, it is nothing but a politacal strategy. When McCain wins he will throw all of this in your face, and then maybe you will understand this politics a liittle bit better. Really disapointed in all of you women who say you stand for truth and dignity, am I the only one that can see through all this bull ——?

Obama is showing his true colors. And his comment about Palin calling her a lipstick pig. WOW. Big Mistake!!! He is into palm reading. Can’t even remember on his own his lines!

Of course he was talking about Palin. Are you kidding me? Did you hear the laughter from the crowd? The masses got it too! They all knew what Obama meant. He’s totally loosing it and is grasping at straws to get attention. Even his VP is questioning his judgement in choosing him for VP! Did anyone see the add McCain’s camp came out with with video of Biden’s thoughts on Obama’s experience, “I stand by my comments that he’s not ready. The presidency is not a place for on the job training.” When asked about McCain, Biden said he was be honored to serve with McCain as the VP! What the heck??

Oh - and thanks Extra for editing our remarks. I’ve noticed that several really great comments were taken off the boards. I guess there are too many conservatives relying!

I watched Obamabinladen struggled to get the lip stick comment out of his mouth. He actually seemed to cover his eyes when he said it, was it written on his palm? It seemed to be very Unnatural for him to say those words which lead me to think that he is becoming a puppet. Crafty could describe the way that it was delivered because what he said could be taken either way but the parallel timing with what Palin said in her address is too closely matched to be able to deny where he was throwing the insult. And, if you had any question where he was directing the comment, just listen to what he said after that, He said you can take an “OLD FISH” (McCain) and wrap it in newspaper and it still stinks. So it’s a 1-2 punch, how blatantly obvious can you be. I don’t fall for subliminal messages like that and I don’t think the American People will either.

Yes, it IS an old expression - that doesn’t mean that he WAS NOT referring to Sarah Palin. Oh, PS to THUN - sharpton would be running around, foaming at the mouth, demanding, and then of course, rejecting repeated apologies from now til doom’s day! THAT’S what would happen in ans. to your question.

Barack Obama did not call Sarah Palin a pig. that remark was used many times by John McCain over the past four years. The American people better wake up and start watching the news.

Palin is an embarasment to ALL women. I cannot believe any woman would vote for a woman who is a sexist herself in many ways! Wake up people! She’s more conservative than the currect Prez!

The only reason McCain picked her is exactly because of what he is doing right now: distracting from the REAL ISSUES!

How did he even get this far? That was a rude and uncalled for comment. It was an ignorant below the belt immature comment. He is sexist, he made remarks about Hillary too. This was not an innocent remark and he is not a decent man. Lets ask Obama what his religion is again and see if he slips up a second time.

Does anyone realize how carefully EACH AND EVERY WORD that comes out of his mouth is chosen, scrutinized and altered for effect? That’s why he’s such a ‘good speaker’(probably has better writers than any other actor). Anyone who believes he didn’t know exactly to whom he was referring, is fooling themselves yet again for this guy

Please. McCain’s camp is on a sexism hunt — and Hillary’s followers won’t be duped by him! Palin doesn’t have the experience to deserve a spot in the White House — and if something should happen to McCain in office (God forbid) she would have to lead. That is my worst nightmare.
