Sarah Palin's Baby Controversy

0902palin.jpg

The grandbaby bombshell is swelling around the globe -- and shaking the political world.

The would-be VP announced yesterday that her 17-year-old, unwed daughter Bristol -- pictured with her baby brother -- is expecting her first baby -- and "Extra" has learned that the baby daddy is an 18-year-old high school hockey jock named Levi Johnston. While Levi claimed on his now-deleted MySpace page that he was "in a relationship," he also stated, "I don't want kids."

Us Weekly's Jill Martin tells "Extra" that Bristol and Levi are two ordinary teenagers. "Bristol's a school spirit leader -- very social -- and Levi's into camping, fishing, and hanging out with the boys." McCain's 23-year-old daughter Meghan also blogged her support for the teen, writing, "I support Bristol and the entire Palin family."

Ok so here’s the thing…the media is to blame for the majority of false or 1/2 truth information. It has been printed that the father of the daughters unborn baby said that he does not want kids. Perfect example of 1/2 truth. In the personal information of his myspace page it says that he did not want kids. It would be nice if people would investigate BEFORE things are printed. FYI-if you do not fill out the questions then that is the answer that automatically comes up. People should just remember on BOTH sides that the media prints the parts that they want to make a good story.

Schmidt suggested, the campaign won’t explain why Palin waited until last week to tell the McCain team that her unmarried 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnant.

Or why Palin didn’t submit to a face-to-face interview with the head of McCain’s search team until a few days before her announcement.

Or why she’s accused of improperly ordering the firing of the former public safety commissioner.

Or why she supported the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere” and other pork-barrel projects before telling the nation on Saturday that she was against them.

Anonymous re: ‘BARACK’S DECEASED MOTHER IS NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE. The only way your argument has any validity is if you say Bristol’s unborn child can never run for office.’ Not true. The whole point is that,Palin, having a teen daughter who’s pregnant, and running for VP is just as far removed from the campaign, if not more so, than obama being born from one, and running for president. The preposterous difference is - nothing is made of the latter fact, and the rag sheets are having a field day with the former, dissecting and regurgitating it to the point that it’s GOT to sound stupid, even to THEM. PS to NC ONE: Many use ‘Anonymous’ when posting, so I don’t know how you can tell who’s posting more than anyone, unless you work for Extra (your last post kinda sounds like it!)

Why is EXTRA covering this—when they did not even mention that Obama’s own mother was a 17 year old pregnant unmarried girl too!?! The one sided coverage of the media against McCain Palin and Pro-Obama is so biased that you will push people towards Mc Cain and Obama because we are outraged at the unfair coverage.

Funny, how I heard not even one HALF of the jabber-jawing, when Hilary was running, with that giant albatross of a husband around her neck.

This is simply a forum where Americans can debate they’re concerns as Americans. We live in a FREE SPEECH country. Thank you Extra, for allowing us to voice our thoughts, you haved help many evaluate ideas. This is not about Obama or McCain supporters, it just a bunch of average folk’s getting the chance to debate.

The producers of Extra need to know that they are not helping Senator Obama and his presidential bid by taking cheap shots at the Republicans. The presenters look so childish and generally stupid when they laugh over these tasteless jokes. If you want to see Obama in the White House, stick to reporting on the Hollywood Celebrities and not on the Political issues. Shame on you Extra!

Anonymous: Sweetie you are on here more then anyone else. I think it is great that we are givin the chance to debate about our concerns as Americans. We are in a FREE SPEECH country dear. Well, its like saying we shouldn’t talk about the celebrities, because we’re in their business 24/7. So, nobody is really safe, especially if you new and we dont know anything about you, its natually.

I am really not sure why most of you say that she is setting an example (I think that the example has already been sent)! If you were good parents you would teach your child how to prevent this from happening! And some say our taxes will go up!!!Well incase you have not noticed teen pregnancy is ALREADY high! How could any of you put this on Sarah’s daughter???? If you are worried about her then you should not be letting your kids watch TV! YOU SEE THIS EVERYDAY! People just need to get over it and leave this poor girl alone, find something else to dislike Sarah! She is just a noraml person with nomal problems like you and I! We as a nation need to monitor what our youth is watching and i can assure you that they have no interest in this story unless the parents talk about it!!!! You see this on Disney channels!!!! DO NOT BLAME THIS LITTLE GIRL. Instead of putting them down pray for the Palin family even if you do not like or agree with them!
It is time to stop pointing fingers at everyone else and grow up-Raise your kids the best that you know how!!!!

What you did with the story on Sara Palin’s daughter is a new low even for you. You have no idea how this feels until it happens to your family. Some day the personal pain of something may come back to haunt you. You can only hope it won’t be fodder for the exploitation of a no class celebrity worshipping tabloid TV show. And for you to act shocked when you glorify the unmarried celebrity Moms. All of the mainstream media is scared to death about this union of McCain/Palin… I will be jumping for joy when your little g god Obama is only a memory as John McCain becomes President. Let the backfire begin!!!

I think Extra has sunken to a new LOW. Candidates children have always been off limits. Sarah Palins daughter and husband who had a DUI in 1980 should be left alone. There are not running for VP.

Give me a break, Sarah Palin will make an excellent VP. as for her daughter being pregnant, isn’t it correct to say the “babys daddy” not the baby daddy. Let the family deal with this matter privatly and look at the candidates and the issues at hand. I’m with Ted Nugent, are there really that many DUMB people out there to elect obama as our next president?

It is a shame that Extra could not have introduced us to the Palin family like they did with the Obama family. I would think that they would have an interesting story to tell.

It always amazes me of all the people that are so willing to point fingers and call names. I have found that many times they are the guilty parties. Shut Up and leave well enough alone. This has nothing to do with her mother. Babies are born out of wedlock all the time and I am sure many of those finding fault have people in their own families that wouldn’t win citizen of the year awards.

This is not about Obama dropping out! It’s not even about Palin dropping out!!! Obama said”people family’s are off limits”. You obviously have so much hatred you can’t even say “Well thanks”.
You make me ashamed to be a Republican.

Why is it that every time a polotician is in the public eye the worst comes out? Things like this happen all over the U.S. everyday with normal families and they get through it. This has nothing to do with Palin’s experience and what she can do to better things. Let her children live thier lives and have thier moms support and leave the public out of it. It is none of our business!!! I support Palin and her values 100%!!!!
